A Stratoliner to go with the hat would be good. ;)

A few of these might be nice to have around.

and one of these would be good to go with my other hat. ;)

I don't require much. :p

Oh I don't know, just a simple home from the mid-30s...

As beautiful as that home is, you better hire a maintenance crew. That house gets a lot of problems, and needs a lot of constant matinance. But hey I'D LIVE THERE TOO!

I apologize for pulling up an old thread, but I needed the time to make my decision!

One (or more?) of these homes (depending on location, number of children, etc.):

A lovely 1909 Radford Cement home with four bedrooms and a bath. I would add two more bedrooms and a bath in the attic.

Another 1909 Radford Cement home. I can just imagine sitting on that front porch on a summer evening, helping my (future) children with their homework and listening to the radio.

My personal favorite, a 1926 Standard home, the Grayson. As with the first, the attic would have two bedrooms.

And finally, if I could get away with only one bedroom, this (also a 1926 Standard) would be the perfect house:

I honestly cannot think of anything more! That is, if I could have one of these homes, I would gladly eat Ramen seven days a week.

I think my wish would be pretty simple...one of Harrison Ford's fedoras from Raiders of the Lost Ark...yeah, that'll be the day. Right after I win the lottery. A car would be nice too, though. -Mulceber

Reach for the stars, Lady Day. You might not get one, but you won't come up with a hand full of mud, either.

BOSTON! LETS GO PATRIOTS!!!
On a simple side, I just want the perfect thirties day dress. I can never seem to find one that I'm totally gaga about.
But, on the fantasy side, a vintage mercedes convertable. It doesn't even have to be from the early 1900's, I'd opt for one from the fifties. My dad had one when I was a kid, I used to go to car shows with him to display it, and I always, out of all the vintage cars he had, just loved this one.
As for art, I long for one of Degas ballerinas. My late Grandmother had acquired one, and when she passed it went to my Grandfather. He went through a messy divorce with his other wife, and when we went to the house to get it, it was gone. I haven't seen it in more than five years. I wish we could get it back to our family. At least we were able to wrangle the Erte out of her wretched little hands, and it is safe in our home.

What, no vintage car in the drive way? And a 1930's trailer to tow behind?;)

=WR=

Of course, but I'll likely build my own little trailer (I've decided on a little wooden teardrop), and I've not decided on type of car. When I do you'll hear from me!

The same goes for my steam engine... I want to build it myself! I wouldn't mind having a few vintage railroad cars, though...

Oh, build your own teardrop eh? Well, that's how people did it back then! They came as kits for the most part. I know just the car to pull that little teardrop... A 1939 De Soto coupe.

Build a steam locomotive your self?!?! Wow, what a woman you must be! It takes a factory, scores of men to assemble and fabricate parts for ONE Pacific 4-6-2... All I'd say is that the hats of every worker at the Baldwin Locomotive shops would forever have their hats off to you!

I feel bad that what I dream is already assembled... shame on me!;)

My friend Ben and I are working on a treadrop right now, based on instructions from an old Popular Mechanics. So far I am mostly making curtains and coming up with design ideas and leaving Ben with all the hard work. ;)
