No. Fedoras are made to be worn one way only, not meant to be twisted around. The sweatband sewn together in the back, not in front by your forehead. If you twist it backwards where the stitching is in front, it will likely indent into your forehead and maybe even cause pain or irritation.

Can someone ID this style of hat for me?



I like this hat for its rugged looks and western flair without being an outright cowboy hat. To me it has more of a South American, Treasure of the Sierra Madre look.

If anyone knows of a similar hat out there, please do not hesitate to recommend a specific hat.

Well, the chap in the photo does seem to be having a better day than me. I think focusing on what hat you could shape like that would be a an attainable goal.
Akubra comes to mind. You can certainly get a deal on a pre-owned, brown cowboy hat and shape it just like that. Make sure it is a felt hat and not wool.

I shaped this western hat into a Australian like hat in my opinion. I trimmed the brim down but you wouldn't want to according to the pic that you're showing.

The brim looks to be around 3 inches. 3 1/4 maybe. Looks like the edge is bound. He's got it snapped up probably to keep it out of the way of his camera.

i will throw a +2 on this one, the real deal is you need a good hat , i would say over 3 1/4 on the brim though, if you want that style, but looks can be deceiving , i have a 3 1/4 Akubra snowy and its brim is a sweet width , more than i would ever need, unless you just like wider brims , which in itself are awesome ------- Pilbaras are hard to find if you want deals, Snowy,s are all over the place , people just don't know how hats work, everyone has a different shaped heads,
most will spend undue time searching for the right shaped hat , --you need to shape it your self, personally I love langenberg hats and Akubras, they are built tough, one thing to remember is you MUST shape the hat to your head, so don't get get disappointed if the hat arrives and just plain looks wrong, it needs to "be found" and brought out by the wearer---------, , people get a hat and it just looks like crud, and they sell it------they don't realize, it needs to be shaped ,

my daughter is bringing me a hat from Canada after extensive exchanges over Facebook and e-mails

She sent me two pictures but I can't seem to find what model it is.

I understand Last Drop is the liner with the horse drinking "the last drop" from the cowboy's hat, not a hat model.

There is nothing in the last three years' Stetson catalogs with that name or number. Either old stock or perhaps a Canadian market item. Since Stetson's US catalogs spell gray with an "a" (Granite Gray) and this is grey with an "e" (Mist Grey), I'm guessing it is for the "foreign" market.

What this kind of hat is called?

Hello, I'm new here.
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this question (if it's not the place, please remove this thread).

I want to buy hat like this one, but I don't know what is called.
It's look like a pork pie hat to me, but it's a bit different from what I saw online (the top part is higher than most of the pork pie hats that I saw).
I would like to know what it's called and where it's possible to buy it.
