What is the normal for Aero lining droop?

What and how much droop in the lining material is normal on the inside of the jackets back?

I have a new Thunderbay model that the shearling lining has pushed the lower ribbed panel down to were it folds over and droops almost even with the bottom of the jacket.

I was wondering what is the "norm" or if I should get this repaired.

I may just have them replace the ribbed panel with horsehide and just do away with the ribbed bottom cloth liner material, if the droop is out of line.

Your input is appreciated.

I would email Holly with some pics, Louis, she'll tell you better than anyone here what counts as 'normal'. Usually takes about one to two days for her to come to you.

Carrie is at Thurston, Holly is at Aero - I should have made myself clearer in my first post, apologies.

Thanks Sloan the peanut gallery (that think they know it all ) just had to chime in and show their collective asses...

Aero answer: The linings on Aero jackets are not supposed to sag, we will pick it up, repair it , and return it asap...

I was about to say I've the same jacket and my lining is not sagging AT ALL. I've had mine less than a year but longer than you've had yours... You should send it back as something's not quite right with her.

I drift off topic far too often without consideration to the OP. My apologies.

I wish I could offer some advice. I've yet to experience the lining droop problem. But I have noticed the cotton lining kind of getting slack in the sleeve ends (where the lining stops) on some of my jackets, so I imagine the lining droop in the body being a common occurence.

Yes, I've seen it too often for it not to be reasonably common. My 1930's half-belt had about half an inch of lining stick out at the bottom back seam. Part of the issue is the lack of facings, the way the lining ends at the bottom seam. Period correct.

My Highwayman has a little fold but thats it, no sagging.
Has started to develop a nice worn in look with a coupple of small holes. Really super happy with the lining that I dont even know what it is, but looks closer to a mustard a2 lining then anything else, except not exactly the same tone.

I've had it on one of my Aero jackets, the Teamster, others are fine.
My solution was to get it folded and stitched, not the perfect fix, but is was fine at the time.

It does appear to be coming unstitched now though and being as I've lost my seamstress, I may have to seek a repair from Aero in the near future.

I had a 30's HB that sagged a bit from day 1. I just safety pinned it and took care of it. I had no intention of sending it back and forth to Scotland.
