What is a pristine Eastman Roadstar worth?

Was gifted an Eastman Roadstar that is pristine. Well, it was "left for me" thinking that i am much bigger than i am. I'm a 42 and its a 46. Do these go for much? worth trying to resell it? its in black leather.

You can probably get about $900-1000 if it's new, but if you want a quick sale expect it to fetch $600-750.

My 44 is currently with Dena getting a new two way main zipper so the amount that I have invested in it is going up a bit (haven‘t gotten the bill yet). Usually I just try to break even on any sales I do here at the Lounge. If I’m able to get the 46, I’ll try them both and keep the better fit of the two. The Roadstar has generous shoulders a fairly dramatic taper. I could find that the 46 is a little big.

Somebody else may be able to afford more. That was just my ceiling on this jacket (sight unseen) based on the eBay bidding and end price of my own 44. Don’t worry, Is the rule on here you only give “friends“ deals but never get one?

I wasn’t attacking you. To offer a “deal”, one should first have a notion of value as in market price.

Your price seemed fair to me for an on the spot offer. If the OP wants to list the jacket and wait for the right buyer he may get more, but sometimes a quick sale works for everyone.

Yes, I agree with this.

There is pristine and then there is (as) new which are the only two categories these repro jackets fall under. If it looks new, ie. doesn't have creases, you should be able to get $1000, give or take a $100, depends how quickly you want to move it.

Otherwise, what @Guppy said. $700-$800 sounds about right.

Criminally undervalued jackets, especially on the used market. Seeing it in person in the store, I was shocked how stunning it actually is but it's just something that you can't photograph.

I’ve bought and sold a few Eastman jackets over the years, both ELMC and military ones. I love their products.
Near new or gently used ELMC jackets tend to sell between USD $650 and $750.
Less than $650 is a good deal for the buyer and over $750 is a good outcome for the seller.

If you’re prepared to wait a while you might sell it for $800, but consider yourself very lucky if it happens fast.
