Thank you for the compliment, there's a few photos of the MG in one of The Lounge's vintage car threads, but I have found a photo that depicts that hat and blazer, look to the rear of the car where my wife and I stand.

Ok one of the much older sedans from Morris Garage. The two tone paint work rather matches your shoe style.

Yesterday it warmed up pretty well and I got the little Beaver Brand a bit sweat soaked... Today its time for a Hemp Stratoliner.

It is a very exciting weekend. Last year, I wrote a short libretto for my nephew who is studying musical composition at a university in Ohio. He composed an opera from my text and tonight it will be performed by faculty at the university. We are on our way to the performance now.

It will be a big weekend - the lad's rock band will perform tomorrow night and then on Sunday he has a jazz guitar concert.

A weekend with my sister and her family to celebrate my favorite nephew!

I chose the Knox Twenty for the weekend. It travels easily and presents well both for older crowds and the university aged.

All the best to you for your weekends, friends.

The weekend it is, and you look the part in the Akubra. The lady and I are off out in the old MG soon. She's still in make-up mode in the bathroom, which gives me time to catch up on the hat thread.

The bespoke hat was made to order, my wife Tina made the shirt and trousers and Gamble & Gunn made the fine hat that compliments Tina's work so well. (There's something similar in silver/grey in the pipeline.)
Looking fantastic, as always, Robert!

Your compliment did make me smile, thank you.

Kind of you to say so Mark, thank you.

The grey blazer for church this morning, what you Loungers can see but others cannot, is the waistcoat, as we Brits call a vest.

Tina held a piece of plain silver fabric against the hat, thinking that a silver hatband would be better suited, but it proved too much. Gamble & Gunn make an excellent hat, best leave it as it is.
I like the look. Probably as monochromatic as you get? Very elegant and true to your personal style. Enjoy seeing pictures as places a great hat into context of an outfit.

Thank you Mark. What a striking colour your hat is. Just fabulous.

For church this morning a Gamble & Gunn bespoke hat. Tina did think that a silver hat band might suit but it looks better as it is. Silver is worn though, this is what's beneath the blazer.

Tina made it as a surprise gift, how I love it.

Looking fabulous again, Robert. And silver beneath the blazer as a bit of hidden extravaganza; living the good life!
