What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Thanks Rick - I'm still learning, but that's the kind of stuff I really like!
I've steered away from silverbelly hats in the past because I was afraid the color was so iconic to western hats that I would not be able to achieve a good fedora look. However, seeing your hat here has made me rethink everything. I may have to pick one up now and give it a go.
Glancing around the walls of the room here I count 9 silverbellys of various styles here (Open Roads, Stratoliners, Moose Rivers, and Three Forks plus a couple of conversions. ) To me its a more refined look than some darker hats. Ive found several that were pretty stained up for cheap on the Bay. Ive had several $20-30 project hats over the years Never found anything that didnt clean up well in a white gas bath.

Cold, cold cold here n Deep East Texas! Suns up and temp has already climbed to 19. steady 5-10 mph wind.. just too cold for us southerners!

One of those mornings Im having trouble deciding what goes up top. Think Ive got it narrowed to a Stetson Gun Club / Three Forks...

It's been very Spring-like here for the past few weeks and the weeds are already starting to take over my yard. So, last week I requested a day off of work to begin my annual counter assault. Little did I know that this morning I would awaken to a FROZEN HELLSCAPE!
Going out to walk my dog this morning, I layered up with my Norwegian roll-neck sweater. Or as my wife refers to it - my "Ernest Shackleton". Due to the nature of the sweater, I had to add my Sterkowski Trawler Cap to make the look complete.
Now, if I can just find some seal blubber...

Sorry cant figure out how to type in that post with the images.
You can barely make out the Country Rogue on the hat band.
Havent found any info and like I mentioned waiting on Akubra and Aussie Outback to get back to me. Outback said their hat "expert" was out of town for 3 weeks.

Gannon Beaver.

I had hoped to fine tune the bash before showing this guy off, but I've been in an Airbnb all week without a water kettle so this is what I've been wearing.

This is such a hard crown to tame - it is huge (>7 inches) and has a massive taper side to side. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

I love this hat, though. Once I get the crown right, it will be unstoppable.
