Nice save T!New life for this abused and neglected Mallory Dallas. This hat was in rough shape when I got it. Couldn't make it look brand new but at least it looks better. Whoever put hot glue all over the ribbon needs to go to hat jail! That was a job to take off! Stripped down, reblocked, and reworked! Original material was reused. Now to finally get caught up on some other projects!

Tomorrow is Chinese New Year and I arrived back in Melaka just in time for it. This is the biggest holiday of all for the Malaysian Chinese and it is truly a full-on ten day celebration here so I'm excited to be back. But boy was it hard to leave Bangkok.
On my last day in BKK I ran across a hat seller who offloaded this unmarked Canadian felt on me. An excellent beater!
And in the airport I ran into a kid from Kuala Lumpur sporting a 1950s Stetson 3X. We had a great time talking hats and work wear.
