Goes great with the brim rollLate 30s No.1 and bread rolls I made late last night. Both very tasty! View attachment 676954 View attachment 676955 View attachment 676956 View attachment 676957
Nice save T!New life for this abused and neglected Mallory Dallas. This hat was in rough shape when I got it. Couldn't make it look brand new but at least it looks better. Whoever put hot glue all over the ribbon needs to go to hat jail! That was a job to take off! Stripped down, reblocked, and reworked! Original material was reused. Now to finally get caught up on some other projects!

Thanks Stefan. Really unique for sure. Another half inch or so in crown height in a dream scenario. That's a really good one, Joe. Solid brim treatment, some light heathering on the felt and a cool two tone ribbon. What's not to like?
Not only a nice hat, I really dig that whole outfit: classy combination - flamboyant but classic!
Thank you Blare!Nice save T!
Nice find Nathan. Who would have thought you‘d be adding to the collection over there. Happy New Year.Tomorrow is Chinese New Year and I arrived back in Melaka just in time for it. This is the biggest holiday of all for the Malaysian Chinese and it is truly a full-on ten day celebration here so I'm excited to be back. But boy was it hard to leave Bangkok.
On my last day in BKK I ran across a hat seller who offloaded this unmarked Canadian felt on me. An excellent beater!
And in the airport I ran into a kid from Kuala Lumpur sporting a 1950s Stetson 3X. We had a great time talking hats and work wear.
Happy Year of the Snake to you all.

Mr. Moose looks like he's having a good morning.Wet week here. Good thing I just re-waterproofed a few jackets. Heading out for the day under a slimmed down Akubra Coobalah (brim trimmed to 2-1/2")

What a beauty!!
Sweet!!! And thanks for the tip.If any of you want to see how you would have photographed in the 19th century there’s a great app called Tin Type that a friend just told me about. Costs a dollar to download but pretty cool.
