Stay warm, gents. It's supposed to be a record snowfall in Houston of all places.

BTW, great hats today.

Bright, sunny, and cold this morning ( 20 deg). Getting ready for the winter storm tomorrow night. Supposedly were looking at 15 degrees and possibly 3-4 inches of snow monday and tuesday ( that a LOT for East Texas). Thinking it might be a good excuse to stay inside and work on a couple hat maintenance projects that need doing

My old Knox Premier 15 looked lonely on the wall so it gets to go out for coffee this morning. It arrived in sad shape, ( ripped, rotted sweatband and moldy liner) A few moth nibbles but otherwise the felt is in decent shape and now sports a new sweatband and liner. I managed to salvage the embossed Knox Logo from the old sweat, and affixed it up onto the new liner so I know what it started out as. Good little running around hat.

Cold today with temps in the mid 20s and are expected to hover in the teens the next couple of days. Puttering around the house with my His Excellency World's Premier Hat to keep the winter blahs at bay...that's the ticket !!
I did step out on the front porch briefly and that was enough outside activity for me.
* Y'all stay warm and be safe !

Excellent, Gary. All of them really. I like how the Barbisio took on a sort of western look to it.
Thanks, Stefan.
I call it my Spaghetti Western hat! Did it not have that kind of feel to it when you had it?
Curious about the Barbisio. Is that a flat top or a telescope? I like it, something we don't see a lot.
Thanks! It's a telescope crown.

Burrr! 18 degrees. At least we expect sun today before the snow starts tonight. The Dog should have fun chasing snowflakes the next couple days.

Today im heading out under a 4x Stetson James Dean Foundation hat. Silverbelly, 5' crown and 2-3/4" brim Most of my hats are 2-1/2" brims. Amazing how much bigger this feels with just another 1/4" lol

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Zephyr Seal Velour" possibly late 1920s early 1930s and made for the American market. This Velour is very difficult to photograph because it absorbs all light. I found this fantastic Velour back in 2012.
