All super hats, Stefan. They're all winners, and the Rehfus is one great find. Congrats!

Another splendiferous showing, Stefan. I'm going with the Lock & Co as #1, the Ecter Mayser as #2, and the Rehfus as #3. In point of fact, however, every single one of those hats is a dream to behold.

Sunday morning is peeking out on the horizon. Thought it was time for a little black Royal Stetson hat. This ones an unknown model, but I like it because it came from Henry the Hatter in Detroit (where my archery hero Fred Bear bought all his Borsalinos) . This ones got an unusual upward swoop on the brim sides. I originally steamed the sides back down flatter, but they seem to have a memory and kept moving back up on their own. I figured what the hey... thats where it wants to be so why fight it. Gives it a slightly less common look

Very nice, Rick, and I believe you chose wisely in allowing the hat to choose how it wanted to look.

I don’t pull out the Resistol very often, but did so today.

Etsuko was in one of her favourites, an Akubra Leisure Time.

On a side note, some time back, I asked about braces/suspenders on the Lounge. Well, I finally purchased some. I got some button down Y shaped ones for work, followed by another button down Y shaped, but slightly fancier ones for play, and these clip on X shaped ones for working in the garden etc. I really like them. I like the look, and my shirt no longer comes untucked, so in the winter, they’re warmer than a belt. Dad hated braces, so he never had me or my brothers wear them as kids.

On another side note, like Simeon @StoryPNW, I’ve admired the cowboy boots I’ve seen on the Lounge, and am keen to get a pair. Unfortunately, in Japan, that’s no easy task, and I don’t think it would be a good idea to get my first (and likely, only) pair online. I’ve found a shop in Osaka that seems to have a good selection. Here’s their list of brands.

Hopefully, I can get over there in the near future and check them out. Any advice as to what to look out for would be greatly appreciated. They won’t be used for cowboying!

I had a rare opportunity to wear some jackets the last two days, so I had some fun with cooler temps. Tomorrow is meant to be back up in the high 80s and 90s (31-33C). That's bearable so long as as the humidity stays low, but certainly not jacket weather and probably not Fed IV conditions either.

Fed IV yesterday, Stetson silk cap tonight.

Best to you all from Bangkok, where I have another glorious two weeks. I love this city, despite missing the winter like crazy.

Today its one of my Dads old hats. Was way too small (size 7) for me to wear it as-is, so I worked it out to a 7-1/4 over a couple months and reblocked. Had to open up the leather sweatband a LOT to get it on my head, so someday Ill fit a new leather band. It was his Texas Masonic hat for meetings. Nothing fancy, just a Master Hatters of Texas 3x from Cavendars. After I got it to a wearable size, I trimmed brim down to 2-3/4" ( was 4-1/2" originally) and gave it a bit of a "Justified" vibe.

Got it transformed from a sentimental hat gathering dust in the closet, to a wearable personalized hat that sees daylight on a fairly regular basis. Thinking this one may eventually get a 5/8 grosgrain ribbon and Campaign bow instead of the storebought leather band. Also debating doing a bit of sanding/pouncing to thin the brim down and soften a bit... Id love it if it was just a bit less stiff and hard. (till that day gets here its a decent expedient hardhat lol)
