New member here. This was the hat and outfit for the day - a family Christmas lunch in Denmark. Wearing a Stetson Open Road.

View attachment 670538 It's a tradition to have a Christmas lunch throughout December and January with family, friends and collegues. Usually there's lots of beer, eggs, shrimp, pickled herring and pork.

Have a great weekend!
Welcome, sir! Nice intro!

Thank you kindly! Wasn't easy to get a Stetson Open Road in Denmark. With import taxes it was around $600, but I had always been dreaming of one.
I live just outside Copenhagen but went across Sjælland for the Christmas lunch. You familiar with the area? :)
Ja. I've often been on that line on my way to family in Rørvig.

I live in Helsingør btw.

Show inside photos of your OR, and remember to post it in the Western thread :)

The other day I was on Ebay & I spotted this poor old hat all folded up in this little box. I had never heard of the maker but a quick Google search told me Hardeman made hats from 1909 until 1954.
For 14.99 I took a chance...what the heck. When the hat arrived yesterday I was pleasantly surprised to find that with a little steam to get the brim in shape and a good brushing it was good as new ! The hat has a silvery-blue hue to it as does the 7/8" grosgrain ribbon. I really like the reedless sweatband and the stitching on the brim edge is a nice touch too. I peeled the sweatband back and if I read the label correctly this is a Hardeman Super Quality Cruiser model. Great find, Timmy. Always satisfying to see them come to life with just a bit of steam.

Rogers-Peet Trivley by Mac Lachlan passed on to me by our friend Brent some time back. I like to keep this one shaped in my attempt at the ace deuce trace - X crease.

Lovely hat, Joe. Still have to get used to that crease though.

Sun finally shined as the Stratoliner made its way to the beach

Very nice, Rob. Can't go wrong with a stratoliner.

Love it. They don't come any better than those Echter Maysers.

A warm 65 degrees with pretty decent thunderstorm and rain to start the day... Cold front on the way later today (freezing by nightfall) possibility of some snow Thursday. Going to be a really chilly week coming up. This time of year East Texas is entertaining... a light snow flurry and "OMG the worlds coming to an end!" and the grocery shelves are emptied lol. I fondly remember some of the mornings up in the Pacific Northest waking up to 18-20 inches of heavy wet snow dumped overnight. Guess Ill be transitioning into the Akubras for a few days.

Today we have one of the "Sad, Filthy, Crushed Ebay Mutts" going out for errands. Have it pretty well cleaned up and actually lookng like a hat again. Nothing inside except for the size tag so I really dont know what it originally was. Just a simple Royal Stetson with a shorter 2-1/4" brim. Brim still has a bit of a mind of its own, so there will be a bit more steaming and ironing. But it fits well enough, and has a short enough brim to be a good windy weather hat

First Sunday of 2025. So here are the hats of the week, same as in 2024.

The Tonak Jota is a striking colour Stefan, but I do keep getting draw back to The Mallory. You make Sunday's such an enjoyable problem.

Sunday, being Sunday, is always what my late mother-in-law described as: Best bib & tucker day.
Fox Tailoring made the suit. former Lounger Simon Cathcart did the shoes and John B, The Sovereign.
Nearly overlooked the credit that Tina made the spearpoint collar shirt.
