A search of the closets revealed that I AM indeed out of short brim hats lol. Ill be depending on everyone else for the last of the Stingymas goodness.

Another cold damp morning here in paradise, so lets haul out a good wool coat and one of the new Big Boys! Of COURSE the roof dribbled water down on me as I walked out lol. Happy to report that after a couple of weeks, the big curl project hat is holding its shape perfectly. I love the concho band, but I still think a bigger silver dollar concho band would balance out the tall crown a bit better. We shalll soon see!

No visitors coming out to East Texas for Christmas this week, so maybe its time for a bit of leather and hat work ( no one coming means I can use the dining table for projects like it is intended)

I think I read that this is the last day for the Stingy Mas, but I'm on my way now so you'll see more of them in the next few days. I promise: only until Christmas.
Guerra Marrone Pelo 1.jpg

Today was a beautiful morning that ended early with a gloomy and gray sky. Temperatures close to zero Celsius.

In the small family of furry Italian hats, the name Guerra 1855 stands out. I have at least five hats made by this not very well known hat factory that have an impeccably finished felt with long naps.

Today I'm wearing this Guerra 1855 in brown. There is no other news except that it was hand finished.
Compared to yesterday's Barbisio, the felt is softer and the hair is slightly longer.

Very easy to wear, it has its own charm.

I'm with Daniele, the Cambiaghi and the coat you are wearing with it, and the Borsalino Cocisca were my favorites of the week. Beautiful hats all week though!

I'm in the perfect Christmas spirit, so these two win the Sunday, December 22nd contest held in the Netherlands

In second place this: very easy to love but still has its charm.

All spectacular.
Thank you, gentlemen. Most kind. Hopefully next week the sun will appear more often to show the hats in better light.
