I don't have too many hats from modern makers, but after reading positive feedback from Bob (@BobHufford) and Jeff (@bowlerman) I pulled the trigger on a Texas Hatters. The combination lords hat and bow got me:

Not sure where to go from here. Timmy's (@TimmyV) Tijuana the other day reminded me I need to debut my grizzly Gay Prince clone. Joe (@Blare) is in the throngs of Stingymas. And then Daniele (@Daniele Tanto) and Stefan (@steur) are showing the love for the black hats. I guess if I go black I'll never go back.
That bow is an M.C. Escher drawing! Love it!!!

I scored this yesterday from a lady in a nearby small town. It’s a Resistol 3X beaver Ranger, and based on the price tag on the inside, I'd place the vintage around 1961 to 1966. The lining and sweatband are both gorgeous and in AMAZING condition. The retailer, “Alexander’s”, was a multi-state chain begun in 1891 by Moses Alexander, who went on to serve two terms as Boise’s mayor, and subsequently two terms as Idaho’s governor.

Despite its workmanlike name, this is very definitely a dress hat, not a “working western” model of that era. The felt is incredibly thin and lightweight, on a par with my lightest vintage fedora.

Sunday has come around again. I'm in the same old place just with the new hats of the week to show you. I tried my best to throw in some black hats in support of Daniele's efforts.

Wonderful Willoughby, Joe.
Thank you Steve!!
I didn't realize the cutoff was 2" my Lamont is also 2 1/8". The green heather felt is amazing on that one.
No hard rules Simeon. Just whatever you consider stingy in your collection. One man’s wide brim might be another’s stingy

I am GOBSMACKED by how beautiful that hat is, Joe!
Thank you very much Mark.

Always good to see a Willoughby in the wild, no matter what colour.
thanks Stefan. A lot to like on this hat

Leave it to a Miamian to know what a pack of dolphins are called. Happy Stingymas Joe!
thanks Nathan!!
