I've been posting a bunch of western style hats lately but I don't want anyone to think I've forgotten about fedoras. This morning I'm out and about in my Knox Tom 'n' Jerry . At first I wasn't sure about the stitching on the brim but it has grown on me. What I am most impressed with is the "feel" of the felt. It molds like clay and reminds me of both of my Mr. Disney hats from the 40's.
*just this ol hillbilly opinion, ymmv.lol.

VERY sharp!!
Thanks, Mark.
Love this Swann, Greg!
Thank you, Joe.
Love this Swann! You're collection is awesome BB.
Thank you! I've watched with interest the collection you're building with some impressive hats.
Love it. I saw this this morning when I got up, and my hat decision was made. My blackest hat, a Tirard for this black hat day.
Thank you, Gary. I think a black hat is more versatile than many and you found a great spot for one with your uniform of the day
Nice one, Greg.

Now I want fried chicken.
Thank you, Jim. Impossible to wear this damn thing without thinking that!

A lucky find among a pile of hats sold in France.
All labeled as size 56, they intrigued me and I took the risk especially for two of them
Labolle 3.jpg
Only one, this one, proved successful.
Labolle A.jpg
It is a hat that will end up among the "new hats" shortly, in the meantime you can see it after a bit of care
Labolle 2.jpg
Sold by Labolle in Angers - France it has no other distinctive signs under the sweatband, other than the indication of the size in 59 centimeters and in the French scale 6
Labolle 1.jpg
Beautiful velour with a satin finish and an excellent colour. I really like. The others soon

Good excuse to pull out a black hat again today.....Thrilled to get a nice Concho hatband in from ebay. Handworked metal and turquoise is real, but Im pretty sure its nickle silver...(not real silver). Really nice southwestern hatband ...Definately not mass produced or stamped. Perfect fit with the Resistol Curled Brim project. I was going to whip up a black leather strap, but I kinda like the pizzaz the brown leather adds against the black. ( if anyone doesnt follow over there...more details on the conchos in the "What hat are you working on?" section)
