Schnazzy is an even MORE casual variant of snazzy, an Americanism slang word from the (I believe) 1930s, meaning hip, trendy, fashionable, attractive, etc.
Schnazzy is Yiddish for snazzy.

Haha—thanks, Mark!Daaaaaayum!!!!! That is a VERY nice one, David!!!
60's, judging by the size tag. Maybe early in the decade as it had a wind trolley at one time. Really nice find in your size at that price. My $85/shipped Royal Deluxe Open Road Craigslist find.
Per the inside logo, anyone know the era?

A Supurb Choice!
Happy Thanksgiving. Looking good.Happy Thanksgiving to y'all !! A special occasion calls for a special hat so today I'm wearing my 15X Clear Beaver by Rand Custom Hatters in Billings, Montana. Out of all my long hair grizzly finish hats this one is my favorite. Not only for the quality of the materials used but the chase that came with acquiring this lid.
The young lady was selling her (deceased) Mom's hat on Ebay and the ad said it measured 22 1/4" which is slightly bigger than my size 7/56cm, but there were no pictures of the size tag in her ad. I asked for a pic and she said there was no tag . She then remeasured the hat with a cloth tape measure and now said it was 55cm, slightly smaller than my size but close enough I could probably stretch it a bit and get it to fit. Based on this information I made an offer that I thought was reasonable but she stuck to her Sentimental "I don't really want to sell it" price. I watched this hat for a month with no takers and the auction came to an end. I then contacted the young lady and made another offer. We went back and forth a couple times and finally settled on a price we both could live with. When the hat finally arrived it fit like it was made for ME !! All I did was add the pencil curl brim and shape it to suit me !!
Part of the fun of these old hats is the hunt, the chase, and of course that sweet moment when you finally get that ONE !! Woo-Hoo !!
Hope y'all have a good 'un !!
