Thanks Joe. Kinda hard to feel serious about anything wearing one like this 'unThat is one serious hat, Tim.
Tonak "Brillant" "бриллиант", possibly early to mid 1950s. The condition of the light colored Velour is excellent along with the all the components. The Velour felt is very pliable and easily dry creases. The liner is really special along with the Russified Tonak mark. This hat was made for the Russian market. The Sweatband mark "бриллиант" is Russian for "Brillant". I acquired this Velour back in 2022.

Indeed Daniele! Quite dapper today in that Dunn & Co. chocolate velourA hat for a professional appointment

Dunn & Co "proudly" made in the UK, that's what the sweatband says, more or less, but I have some doubts about the felt that seems to have been supplied by some European manufacturer

But you never know what happened in the making of hats in ancient times

The hat is very well finished with high quality components and fits like a glove, so it is among those that remain in Verona, despite the very specific desire to lighten my collection

Happy Saturday to all of you and congratulations on your hats that I recovered after two days of absence
LOVE those Resistol Stagecoaches! I believe my current count stands at nine of them. And that one looks just plain terrific on you, Timmy. Again, nice job with the brim curler. The weekend is in full swing here and I've been out and about this morning delivering a birthday card to one of my grand daughters. She didn't know what to think about my choice of hats this morning and said it was one of the BIGGEST hats she had ever seen ! Lol.
Resistol Stagecoach line from the late 70's complete with another pencil curl brim. The brim of the hat was still wet from the process when the pictures were taken but has since dried out with no discoloration. Normally those macrame headbands that were popular back in the day just plain ol mess a hat up in my opinion but this one isn't too bad to my eye.
