Thanks Mark... just as I suspected it was too hot today for that one. Already switched out to a straw beater hat for yard work.

C. G. Wilke "Flamand", blind stitch over welt, possibly late 1920s early 1930s. Has all the original parts including the tip patch. Really fantastic / unique felt with a lot of Brim flange. "Flamand" is in unshorn Velour. It's actually light in weight. I found this "Flamand" back in 2014.

The hat shop (Reinhold Mette Freiberg) was established in 1926 and is still owned by the family today (Barbara Mette Freiberg). I assume the shop is still in business. Prior to opening the hat shop they manufactured fur felt ware (established 1825).

These "genuine" panama hats were available from all the prominent companies in the 40s-50s. This Lee variation is the first straw hat that I purchased from eBay. Not too precious and a comfortable wearer on a steamy hot day that might be stressful to something older/rarer.

The Stetson Sovereign is a great hat to compliment Tina's handiwork.

Originally the bespoke hat by Gamble & Gunn was my first choice. "Too much silver," the lady observed. Oh dear, there's a pair of silver grey & white spectator shoes on the Cordwainer's work bench at present.

Gonna be another HOT one here today so I decided to break out one of my summer hats. Knox Excellent Quality woven weave in Brown with a puggaree hatband. Not quite the silhouette I usually like to wear but this guy's gotta have a little diversity every now and then.lol.
