My family and I had a lovely afternoon at a tulip harvest/festival today. The flowers were mostly gone by the time we arrived but it was fun nonetheless and I collected a few ground scores.

I chose the lightweight Stetson Fifteen, which hasn’t seen action since fall.

[The Shoe]

Spent the day in the garden, so the Snowy River got the call up again.

Later, I fired up the shichirin, so switched to the barbecue hat - the Bluegrass Green Cattleman.

Atsuage (Deep fried tofu) is remarkably good on the barbecue. Crispy on the outside, soft and hot on the inside.

Yakionigiri (grilled rice balls) are also superb.

We also had sausages and some leftovers from yesterday.

Good morning. Yesterday I finished the day wearing a Stetson and a Gannon.

This morning I was up and about early. A morning walkabout in a Gannon Pacesetter.

Morning coffee while wearing a Gannon Wanderer (bone beaver felt).

I picked up groceries in a Gannon Playboy (silverbelly).

Working my afternoon meal in the dutch oven on the grill. A Gannon Beachcomer (bone felt) was my hat choice.

For the Easter church service today I had planned to wear the bespoke Gamble & Gunn. The navy colour coordinating with my tie and shoes.


But the lady asked me to wear The Stetson, so The Stetson it was.

Great googly moogly, sir! In the #3 slot, the Gorasgu, for its overall classic appearance. In 2nd place, the Lock & Co for it's incredible coloring. And in the top slot, that amazing Landasti. I've just spent five minutes staring at that picture, and I think I need a cigarette.
