Two hat day.

First up was the Mallory XV for early morning shopping. Still my favorite all-around hat.

Yesterday I pulled out the Knox 20 Alcazar to show to a friend. It’s a size too big so I added some sizers and wore it out today to meet up with family. This hat is growing on me.

Stay safe and warm friends.
It is a great looking hat, Nathan.

Thank you, Robert. You're looking your usual splendid self there.
A belated thank you Stefan, you are always so complimentary. Tina's reaction to compliments that I show here makes her go all shy on me. She made the trousers and shirt. The shirt was special, I had hunted around trade stalls at festivals, trawled the web and even looked through modern shirt catalogues.
The lady came up with the fabric, she had the vintage style shirt pattern, next thing you know, there was a shirt, and with contrasting white collar. Clever girl eh?

Pic wasn't taken today, but this was the hat. Absolutely the BEST condition of any 2nd-hand hat I've ever scored in my life. This Resistol Hi Sierra looks like it just came out of its factory box. Headband is marked "King's Western Wear" with their Van Nuys Blvd location. I make this about early-to-mid-70s vintage. (The crown isn't deformed, I just couldn't get a really symmetrical shot.)
