Royal deluxe Stetson Roadster in Walnut is the hat of choice for voting this morning. Another great hat from DelMonico Hatter

Vote early, vote often. Lol

Inspired by Randy’s beautiful example @Rmccamey I pulled down my Stetson Sovereign to go vote. It actually photographs pretty well but shows its age more in person. First vintage hat I bought and still love how much character it has. JJ’s replaced the ribbon with what was available and now even that is showing its age.

I'm late with the releases of the new hats. Laziness and also a photographic commission that involves me.
Retracing your steps after years is always a gamble :)
Let's get to the hats: after the "Blacks" series I focused my attention on the last hats produced by the historic Italian factories before their decline.
This is a brand that is rarely seen here on FL, but even in Italy it does not have a large diffusion. Guerra grigio 1.jpg
Guerra 1855, hat factory active until a few years ago.
Guerra grigio 3.jpg
The hat is called "Lord" and the color is the number 112, there is nothing else on the internal paper label.
I bought it these days from a sale of remnants of a hat shop in my town.
Guerra grigio 2.jpg
The furry felt is magnificent, like few others from the same manufacturer in my wardrobes, the finishes are average and the shape is superb.
Very light and absolutely malleable.
Guerra grigio 5.jpg
These are the measurements: the brims are 7 centimeters and the crown at the lowest point is 11.5 centimetres, the ribbon, in dark grey, is 1 centimetre
Guerra grigio 4.jpg
Maybe it will arrive here photographed without my face.

J. Hückel ´s Söhne "Standard" "Crystall Velour" possibly late 1920s early 1930s. The Velour is in great condition and of very high quality. Also has a really fantastic textured Sweatband. I found this one back in 2018.

J. Hückel´s Söhne Store Display, probably 1930s. It came from an old Milwaukee, Wisconsin store.

Knox 20 OPS.

A darn nice hat but another one that fits like a 50s movie star (or did folks really wear their hats one size too small back then?)
