Killer!!!

Made this hat this week , and wearing it a lot. Natural undyed rabbit fur western weight (230g), with a 3 1/2 inch brim.

Today I am taking to MG to get it professionally washed and polished. Tomorrow I shall be up at six, since retirement I had forgotten that there are two six o'clocks in a day, but tomorrow morning it's up at six and off to Beaulieu (pronounced Bewley) for the one hundred birthday party of MG cars.

At the car wash my hat, made for me by Gamble & Gunn, will get photographed more than the car. What amuses me about that is that the guys all wear caps, with the peak facing to the rear, yet my hat gets all the attention.

Fantastic memories, Randall. It's good to see family and friends spending time together.

Wore a late 50s white 3X TAR during a 3 day vacation with my immediate family.
We stayed at an Air B&B, ate like kings at great restaurants and visited an Army Infantry museum in Columbus, Georgia.
My Mom and Dad are getting older and we all wanted to spend time together as a family. It was a blast! I’m blessed to have such super relatives. I spent a lot of time in the museum looking at the many historical military hats. View attachment 548969

I have spent most of the week with my JBS 3X collection. Here is another favorite early 50s model. This one has stars on the deteriorating sweatband, which makes me reluctant to change it.

This guy also has an interestingly colored wind chord. I’m assuming it’s not original.

I’d say early/mid 50s Dobbs. Shipped in while I was away. Embroidered liner tip, but plastic covered, is sweet.
Needed some TLC, but not too much.

My Playboy, maybe of similar vintage, is colored very similarly with a contrasting wind trolley. I also don't have any idea if it's original though.
