Oh my ... sorry, you are both right.

When I read "Craftsman" my mind went here:

I was thinking of the Sears kit homes. I've been spending too much time in the vintage tool forums.
Amazing—my retirement fantasy to end up in a Craftsman bungalow within walking distance of a place to get the morning coffee. ;) Probably never going to happen but I can dream.

Impeccable, you are getting good at this Steve. Very good.

Yesterday was spent running around trying to buy a rare size tyre to replace the one
that blew out on our Sunday outing to a classic MG meeting.

A phone call this morning and I am on my way to a specialist tyre dealer who might
have, or thinks he can order, a replacement. Fingers crossed.

The hat, by the way, was a birthday gift from Tina. She knows my milliner's
phone number and they, of course, know my hat size.

While I’m sure being the most dapper gentleman at the grocery store never gets old…. I await the reaction at the mechanic shop.

P. & C. Habig Wien "Special Qualität" "Auto Cape", possibly mid 1930s. "Auto Cape" was a Felt Liner Insert to protect against denting but is missing from this Stiff Felt. Interesting that there was a Crown Tip Patch under the "Auto Cape". I found this Stiff Felt back in 2022. Later this week I will wear a P. & C. Habig Wien Stiff Felt that has the "Auto Cape" Felt Liner Insert.

Peter Habig (1839-1916) founder of P. & C. Habig Vienna "70th Birthday, 1909". I found this piece back in 2018.

The MG Car Club have a trophy photo of my predicament last Sunday. At least they didn't invite captions, and they did say that I was their only be-hatted member and how smartly turned out Tina & I were.
Here's that trophy photo. I really should put up the milliner's name but if I did, then Tina would deserve a merit for the shirt and trousers. She might give me grief over that. So many want an MG shirt, having seen the one that she made for me.

Ms. Tina's shirts are in high demand. Glad you both survived the ordeal. Here's a thirst quencher that seems somewhat appropriate for the situation!
