I know it'll soon be time to break out my panamas, but I could not resist this thrift store find! It's a Werner Hilton, a clothier from St. Louis, no longer in business. The hat just needed a little dusting and was good to go!
The only issue is there is a mark on the band from a pin, and the trolley button isn't real.
The last date I could on the web for Werner Hilton was an ad from 1965, so i have no idea of the age. On the inside of the sweat band is a stamp with 'L B C' on it. The B is larger. My guess is the manufacturer could be Biltmore? the two other labels are 100% Beaver and $25. If any of you have more info about the store, or the marks, that would be appreciated.

I I recently found this beautiful old Mayser hat. Dark blue, with a nice soft quality than a modern Stetson, , according to my personal criteria.
A soft hat that I had to reshape and clean to adjust it to my liking. I cut the inner nylon to be able to expand it a bit to match my size, since although it is size 57, time has reduced it a bit.

That looks great. The swoop on the brim up really makes it work. I can’t even get brims to snap up with a good swoop— they always flip way up and look silly. Nice, Brent!

Symphony season has ended, and semesters are coming to a close= more hat posts from me, hopefully. It helps that the endless winter seems to have finally subsided, and spring has graced us for nearly two weeks so far (knock on wood). Here are my recently worn hattos.
I miss the app. I don’t know anything about that stuff, but if I missed TFL being added to another app, someone let me know!
