The lady said: "Aw shucks!" Take that as thank you, from me too.Belated happy birthday to the Missus.
Much appreciated Stefan, she's gone all coquettish on me now. Take that as thank you.Happy birthday to the lady. Looks like it was celebrated in style. Wouldn't have expected anything else!
What I loved about your post Steve was the sentence in which you said: "Some of my bowlers."This wonderful, early spring light shining through the front window on some of my Bowlers led me to two conclusions.

The second was, I need to dust those hats
I hope she had a wonderful day. Great photo, and she wears the hat very well.Etsuko is looking good, love the Maxim cloche. Belated happy birthday Etsuko.
There's a lady that I know who celebrated a birthday yesterday. She came across this tired and worn out hat at a festival, and has since breathed new life into it.

Great hat...Love your diamond.Edward Biskup "Eighteen-Ninety," in Superb Quality, with tacky little stars on the ribbon.

Whichever way you go, that hats a winner. If you remove would it leave holes in the ribbon?I think it was Brent who called them tacky back when it was listed on eBay. I rather liked them, so I bought the hat. I still occasionally entertain the idea of removing them.

Okay that is a very cool stack of Bowlers! Is this how you store them or is this just a onetime arrangement to pick a hat for the evening? This wonderful, early spring light shining through the front window on some of my Bowlers led me to two conclusions.

Oh that's no problem then. Indentations might even disappear with steam and a well placed thumb, };^))They have a little hook that's crimped over the top of the ribbon. They might leave an indentation, but no holes.
Thanks Randy. And that's just some of the Bowlers I have. And, number 3, you need more bowlers!
Great collection. Steve!
Thank you kindly.Okay that is a very cool stack of Bowlers! Is this how you store them or is this just a onetime arrangement to pick a hat for the evening?

But those pins do make it unique. There is a forum thread here about pins, and lapel pins used on hats. I recently put a small Atatürk lapel pin on the knot of the bow on my modern blue Borsalino. In some cases I think well placed pins can add a great touch. Of course it's subjective but so is everything in this hobby.
Whatever you decide to do...you should post that hat with stars on this thread: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/post-the-pins-on-your-fedoras.15353/page-28
Have to make sure they don't feel neglected! Love the display, Steve and the Scott is a good choice. This wonderful, early spring light shining through the front window on some of my Bowlers led me to two conclusions.
