They let some of us hitch a ride on a C-130 today, so I took a Playboy along for the trip.

The late afternoon sun might have you believe this was the same tan 40s Dobbs Gay Prince from yesterday. This one however is medium grey in the same suede glove finish and probably either late 40s early 50s But here is a GP feather in full glory! This one is hitting the town tonight :D:p

Finally made it up to northern Vermont to inspect and monitor the display of fall foliage color. I really was lucky to grow up around here. Now I struggle to be here for the change.
Black Sheep Hat Works. Note his special touch “hanger-upper-thingy” to keep the hat safe.

Nice! Did you get that custom straight from Black Sheep or was that second hand? Great looking products on the company web page. but lead times were always crazy long for my taste.
Fantastic looking hat. Love the barn door ribbon treatment.

Man I've missed being around here the past several days. Seasonal work has been dominating my time.

Just going back looking at some of the past few days' pictures I realize I've missed a lot! Those are a lot of very cool hats y'all have been wearing. I never realized before this forum that there are so many different styles in the fedora world. Plus it should be mentioned that every single one of them looks great on the one wearing it.

Thanks, Johnny!
I was fortunate to have purchased it from Bob about ten years ago. It seems you commissioned that fantastic “Wall Street” from Art shortly after; still one of my personal favs! I couldn’t have predicted how successful Bob would become, but it was obvious to me how creative he is.

Today, a day completely out of season due to the heat, I thought of a Borsalino in pale green to celebrate the last living leaves
Lauro Borsa 4.jpg
Borsalino Qualità Extra Superiore , color is "Lauro" which means "Laurel"
Lauro Borsa 2a.jpg
I did not understand if the dyer of Borsalino was inspired by flowers or leaves, so different colors.
Lauro Borsa 1.jpg
Certainly the color is soft and very influenced by what surrounds it.
Light hat enough for such a day it accompanies me in a series of small daily chores

Happy Saturday everyone

Sweet lid, Gary! My guess on the age is a decade or two newer, but I’ve been wrong once before. What does the inside look like?
Thanks! And yes I was hoping somebody would chime in about the decade. I’m definitely not 100% certain about that. I saw the size tag and it looked like the late 50s to me. The liner is some kind of mesh that I’m guessing was probably added later. Whatever the case I like it because it’s a little cooler In these warmer fall days. Here are some pictures if anybody wants to correct me on the decade. Its appreciated.

By the way that white cloth is just a sizer that I stuck behind the sweatband.
