This Mallory XV has that phrase Renowned Since 1817 at bottom of the hat liner, like I've been writing about, and thinking it's just after the Stetson takeover. The overwelt brim edge is also similar to 2 of my hats from this period.

I should have said Cavanagh brim edge, not overwelt.

Today....enjoying the cool morning in a cool Churchill Beaver 100 with Vicuna.

I got caught up reading the Churchill threads after seeing a fine Resistol (@deadlyhandsome)

in another thread which reminded me of this Churchill. Not surprising recalling Resistol made Churchills at this time, i believe.
