Not today, but for a winter hike on Christmas Day:
1930s Henry Heath Homburg in black

The snow was even enough for a sled ride

I loathe cold and snow. Seeing those pictures reminds me how much.

Thanks David… truth is this one could use some work. It hides some of its imperfections in the photos. The brim has a little bit of a mind of its own.. I’m sure some steam might calm it down. I do need to compare some of my OR and OR style hats.. Stetson and others. The only thing I can say without hesitation is the 7XCB stands head and shoulders over the rest.

Date of manufacturing definitely plays a role in quality of Twenty Fives. Older ones generally better. This one managed to spark some debate on age. Some folks estimating anywhere from 50s to 70s.
I have a twenty-five with the same liner. I never bought another Stetson with that liner.

Today family celebration for Aquarius birthdays
Perfect 4b.jpg

Walk downtown in the cold and gray, but first I dusted off this hat that I never put on because it's a bit tight.
Perfect A.jpg

It is a centenary made of wool in black color with a typical finish of those years with a slightly shiny surface
Perfect 2b.jpg

The hat is unlined and the branding that was inside is gone, the sweatband says "The perfection" on one side, "Stilish" on the other and the size label is in European version 6/59
Perfect A1.jpg
Inside, under the sweatband, there is a paper label with numbers and no more
Perfect 2.jpg

I think it is French made, but who knows?
Have a nice day and thanks for the likes and all my appreciation for your hats

P. & C. Habig Wien, "Special Qualität" "Special Zefir" with "Ventilo" possibly early 1950s maybe a bit earlier (missing paper label). This is a lighter weight very pliable felt "Special Zefir" which is a difficult find (found this almost 10 years ago). Made special for Fritz Reinhardt Frankfurt A/M.

P. & C. Habig Wien tended not use Sweatband Bows with their Soft Felt Hats.

Wonderful wide looking brim flow, Steve. Nice ribbon and bow treatment along with the matching brim binding, too. Hard to beat P & C Habig quality.
