Thank you, this forum may be a bit of a bad influence though. My hat budget has increased dramatically in the last few months.

Start working overtime or get a second job if you're planning on staying. This place is brutal.
Welcome to the fun :)

You’ll also notice every corner of your house starting to fill up. It may be time to start looking for a bigger place…or forget the guest room. Just think how many hats you could fit in there!

Thanks Randy. I thought you might enjoy the bowler pics. With your derby / bowler experience do you have a guesstimate of the age of my lid?
Cheers, Eric -

I enjoy all your hats, Eric, I just have a thing for bowlers! I'm going to guess yours is a 40s model based on the liner logo. But, Alan or @DaveProc or others are probably better at dating the hat based on the color and format of the block tag and/or lot number inside the sweat if it has any.

Huckel, fur felt from ww1 era or slightly older, I found a few months ago.

Very thin felt and extremely soft. I was aiming for a center dent only, but I found this to serve posting/FL purposes only. Being this soft, it should have been used with deep side pitches for the guy to grab the crown when putting on/off his lid, back in the days.

Upbrim with deep flange and thin matching trims. Unlined and unreeded, laced sweatband. No bells and whistles on this one

What a beautiful hat Panos. Some serious personality on that one. Love the sweat imprints as well.

It's its own bell and whistle, Panos. Wonderful find. Black is back :)
