Terrific harvest. You "reaped" some terrific hats this week.

Thanks, Stefan. Nothing too special for dinner last night, but plenty of beverage photos in the Hats & Drinks thread.

I love the sahara fedora with curled brims. The pics of your hat makes me yearn for a similar hat. Your wife's hat is grand and I like the ribbon treatment. I showed pics to my wife and she is unconvinced that she could wear such a hat. I am working on her. Thank your wife for the motivating pics.

Morning dog soirre in a Brock fedora. Lovely blue hat for a cool morning.

After arriving home I strolled through the snowy yard in a blue Playboy enjoying a cup of coffee. The Air Light Playboy version is exactly as advertised - light.

Snow shoveling time was spent under a Stetson Stratoliner. Glorious unlined hat that I need to be careful of wearing. I like this hat and need to be careful of wearing it to an early demise. Thank goodness I have a couple of the sage Stratoliners so I can rotate between them.

Seeing you wear an open crown....open, makes Me curious about this look.
Billy Gibbons ( ZZ-Top ) is really the only other person I have seen, who wears an open crown- open regularly.
I like the look because of the crown hight an open crown (open) brings.
Considering leaving the BGCD (which I'm still waiting to arrive) as an open crown.
Nice to see others wearing it open.

Thank you so much. It is for sure a style I do not wear much. I believe the only other hats I wear open are my bowlers. This one though is real interesting. It arrived in this open shape… it is fairly stiff in this shape almost bowler like. But I can see some dimples where it previously had a center dent. Bowen here has the same hat creased which looks fantastic. I just felt this one was making its own statement with its sorta big ole western derby look.

Borsalino Ecospo in Pineta. Probably the hardest hat in my collection to capture colorwise as it green with brown undertones that really shine through in sunlight. Today the green was rather muted:

Apologies for the wonky crown. A strong gust of wind dislodged it while out and about. Fortunately I caught it mid air before landing in a sloppy wintery mix. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. I switched to the more suitable aerodynamic Woodrow bowler (recently shown) later in the day.

Beautiful coat and beautiful hat and they complement each other perfectly.

A favorite WWI era Stetson clear nutria. This hat was in excellent condition when I received it, but the wide black ribbon (not sure if original) was hanging by a thread. I removed it and added this narrow horsehair band. The Fray sweatband is remarkable... supple and strong as if it has another hundred years in it. The store in this southern New Mexico town where it was sold appears to have been a supplier of military uniforms during the first World War.

Glorious sharing of your vintage hats of late. I do like the sweatband and the markings on this hat. Care and details are in evidence evident in your vintage hats of late.

Well a L knee fracture has me housebound, so I'm at least enjoying a good cigar and some vitamin D.
This is modeled on the one Daniel Day Lewis wore in the movie "Let there be Blood." I had it pre-distressed as it might be some time before I jump in oil wells or rustle cattle.....
Just came in today. I ain't no DDL, but I'm satisfied. Shoutout to Mike at Buckeroo Hatters. 100% beaver - whiskey - changes color with the light.

Thanks Eric for your nice words. I like to have hats restored, especially when they are interesting enough to have new life, certainly they don't always become hits, but I prefer to spend some money and bring quality hats back to life.
The Borsalino "Brughiera" is very particular and is part of those heathered felts that have a special part in my collection.

Today the rain raged from dawn to well beyond sunset, now a powerful wind has swept the clouds and the moon has appeared.

The photos are from yesterday morning before the bad weather started.

The Borsalino "Misto Stagno" with "Ossido" colored hatband accompanied me on a long tour among the last autumn leaves, then wind and rain.

This was supposed to be the hat for Sunday, but the weather forecast promised stormy weather and it did

Thanks, gents, for the kind comments on the hat and coat. I've found that green hats can sometimes be difficult to pair but in this case I think it worked pretty well.

Thanks for the kind words, Eric. Etsuko appreciated it. I’m sure it’s just a matter of getting the hurdle of getting that first hat/that first of a new style on the head for your wife. Keep at it.
Etsuko just ordered a couple of new cloche hats from the Village Hat Shop. If anyone has good info on places to find good women’s hats, it would be appreciated. I know @belfastboy was looking at making women’s hats, but haven’t seen any as yet.
