Stunning!!!!New in just arrived from Wosfbrae Custom Hatters (@belfastboy). It is silverbelly, 160gr Ukrainian rabbit felt, suede finish. 2 7/8" raw brim, 6" open crown with top crown and side venting, and unlined with bright copper grosgrain ribbon, and neutral brim binding. I’m digging it.

View attachment 371455 MaxLachlan Golden Beaver Hundred. The X was unintentional, but since it took two months to have the hat restored by Optimo, and we cleaned it, replaced the ribbon, reblocked it, and duplicated the crest in the new sweatband, I decided to leave it. As with yours my friend! That’s class.
Would love to see this.. please direct me to a post if you’ve posted it already. Thank you Ross! I’m quite happy with it!Great example Jesse, looks almost unworn! I found a vintage OR with the same ribbon treatment, don’t see too many of those either.
really nice!

It's hip to be square.
Not only for Winter. My vintage Nutria started out as a "Oppenheimer" style hat.
I would honestly love to have more vintage Nutria hats to add to my collection...
Even though it was a Western the felt is also thin and light enough to be a fedora for Spring and Summer wear. I really like these vintage Nutrias.
Coloring up for late October here in New England with this Custom Hatter of Buffalo (NY) by Gary White. I grabbed two hats from Gary some years ago when he had a small quantity of Borsalino blanks with manufactured brim edges. He only had two (slim-brims) in my size, so the choice was easy as long as I didn’t mind the tiny brims.

Apologies for the dust.
All the best!!
Another +1 for vintage Nutrias. While the hand on my newest find (50’s Nutria Quality) isn’t as nice as my wife’s 20’s Real Nutria Quality, the felt is very thin, very durable, and easily molds any crown bashes without steam. Really glad to have this one.

Thank you Eric. I think this one is a bit newer but in not quite as nice shape as my other Whippet. I think I will pull them both and compare.I like the shape in a diamond crease. It gives a high rise kind of top line to the crown crease. Congrats on the Whippet. It is a sharp hat. Whippets are not Whippets. This one looks to have some quality appointments.
Wonderful Viscount Eric. And the Lee Commentator is great.Jonesy; Your new hat has a grand profile to it. I love that Wosfbrae added some vent hole side and top. I love that option and look. It looks cool, therefore it must be cooler to wear.
I was sport'n a Stetson Royal De Luxe Viscount today. Long ago I picked it up from Tim Mahovich (forum member). Minty rear ribboned fedora in a unique camel felt hue. Lovely and unique hat.
I needed to work on securing a new security camera and put on a Lee Commander. This Commander is in a brown-green hue.
Honestly it is different than the one I wore the other day, which was green. I was curious as to how much color difference and I share this comparison shot.
It really is brownish-green. Today's cool and overcast skies make accurate pics a struggle. It does have a green ribbon that does match the other hat.
Cheers, Eric -

I only practiced today, Eric. I needed to.Thanks for the link to more pics of your Borsolino tobacco hued thin ribbon. It is truly a one of a kind. You and the hat cut make a sharp pic.
I am underrating velour in its weather steadfastness. I look forward to your posts Steve. Thanks for sharing your beloved hats.
A Mac(x) 100 out for a round of golf - wow! I hope your golf score benefited from having that amazing hat on your head.
Steve; Man you got some hats! I tune in and pause with your posts. The uniqueness of the felts, hats, shapes, hues and of course the juicy details. I appreciate your hat passion. Thanks for my daily fix with today's Seal Velour. That is quite a felt.
Great pics of a minty fedora. Thanks for sharing Jesse.
Cheers, Eric -
Thank you Eric! You wear all kinds of brims and shapes with distinction. Terrific neighborhood as usual.

Glorious Playboy. Thanks for sharing.
But there is no denying that, It's hip to be square!
Lovey hat this morning.
Just exquisite sir. The pics showcases the thin felt very well. You got some hat skills.
Dust -shmush, that is a cool felt hat. Thanks Charlie for sharing your custom hat and Pendleton. It has been a long time since I have seen a post from Gary White. If you are in contact with him give a shoutout and say he is missed.
Ross; Love your western inspired posts. +1 for your Nutria hat.
Excellent.
One of those I could wear every day hats.Lovely Playboy. They really do wear light on the head.
I want one.One of those I could wear every day hats.
No sweat on that putt Max... but maybe a less precious hat for the harder ones? Optimo did a great job on this.
They did, Alan! Graham called it "a special project". I am a big fan of his, and am proud that he knows who I am. He is the Lionel Messi of hats!No sweat on that putt Max... but maybe a less precious hat for the harder ones? Optimo did a great job on this.
