Not too much time left to row your boater. Here is one of my favorites, early to mid 1920s, from Dobbs NYC retail shop.

Late 40s/early 50s Stetson Imperial.
A luxurious brown hue that I’ve seen on one other hat. The pics don’t properly show its true color. Super nice felt!
Except for the original 3/4” binding it’s a complete tear down and reblock.
Y’all know I like wide binding, so I’m really diggin’ this’n!
Finished sewing on the ribbon and double bow tonight. The very simple bow that was on it didn’t look right on this nice of a hat, so I’ll use it on a different, less dressy and lower quality hat.

What is it about your neighborhood that people are always losing their bloody birds?
If you go on any of your local Facebook lost pets groups you will probably find lots in your area too. Quite a few are people seeing domestic birds at their feeders and others just accidentally loose them out the door. A few of us volunteer our time to help rescue them. Remember here in Canada they don’t have a chance of survival come winter.

Trip to VA in Dublin Georgia for 3rd COVID-19 booster. I’ve got lots of new hats lately that I need to post but this is my favorite all time Akubra The Territory with 1/2” off the brim and a DM puggaree stained dark. Front pinch. Have a great day eco!

Well, that would require me to go to Facebook, so...probably not gonna happen.

Nice hat, tho, Johnny!

I have been wearing this hat for the past 3 and half weeks as I am vacationing in Hawaii. It is nothing special but it provides me with awesome protection from the sun being that I am melanin deficient I burn quite easily. The hat itself is a no-name brand that is made in China in a one-size-fits many but I am super happy with this $23 purchase and love it. I will take it back to Washington state with me and use it for yard work. It has an elastic fabric sweatband I will replace it with a fitted leather sweatband hand sewing in when I am done vacationing.

It is somekind of cross between a western hat and a "chinamen" hat (sorry for my ignorance as I do not know what those traditional hats are called).

I do not know that it was woven with but here are the rough dimensions that I am guesstimating as I do not have a measuring device.

Crown: 7-1/2 inches
Brim: 7-1/2 inches

The wind cord on this is awesome and has saved the hat on multiple occasions.

Thank you…Khaki from akubra in Australia. Wish they had this color elsewhere but exclusive to akubra web page I believe.
That the model an colour I was looking at. I know HatsDirect carries them in that colour. Looks great man. Perfect safari style with the pug on it. Very Allan Quatermain. Wear it in good health.
