There are ways to make that fit.

Excellent Steve! Easy living... I need some of that.
Hey, hey, HEY!!
Apparently I’m just time for the party, now that you’re here Karl!
Glad to see you and that super Italian felt, my friend.
Too many wonderful hats to comment on them all, but it is great to see everyone looking fine in the summertime. I've been trying to beat the heat with some straws. Here's a late 1800s boater and a pseudo-Panama courtesy of a trade with @Daniele Tanto:

That is some truly fantastic work there— congratulations!New hat day is always exciting, but this new Lords Hat from Mike Miller at NW Hats is kind of special. The household CFO authorized this purchase based on my phenomenal progress in quitting smoking! Still have a smoke every few days, but down from a pack and a half a day, so I feel pretty good about it. This new hat is an homage to Downton Abby, with a distinct brim curl as found in 1920s styles of the Landed Gentry. Finished with a long hair (melusine) aubergine felt, Mike said this is one of the wildest he has created. The crown is a full 5 3/4" (tall) and the curl of the brim is super swoopy. Now, to put together an outfit based on eggplant purple!

Shades of Doc Holliday there?View attachment 345815 View attachment 345816 View attachment 345817 View attachment 345819 Bailey western yesterday. I feel like we all knew this was coming eventually.
Lee Overbrook on this overcast and thankfully not too hot morning.
Shades of Doc Holliday there?
Yes, that was the whole part of her look for the movie Annie Hall, and IIRC, that style was popular enough to be referred to as the "Annie Hall'' look. And frankly, that whole look (hat, shirt, tie, pants) would not have worked on every person; for example if a short or heavy woman were to wear it, she'd probably look like...well...a short, heavy, woman in ill fitting clothes. So that hat being what most would say is too large, simply worked well on a young, thin, attractive women. But on you - in your picture, as Brent mentioned, it's simply too big for you.
