Thanks, Reg. In person it is more chocolatey, but your right about the brick tones. They're there, just not as pronounced as the photos. I think the wind trolley sets those colors off.

I would say 1960s-1971 by the size tag, it changed in 1971 to show European and American hat size

Good morning gents. My first nice hat, and first real post to the hat side of TFL. Discovered I’m between a 7 1/8 and 7 1/4 in this style. Fiddling with the foam tape to get the fit right.

I’ll be wearing it all day today outside of my working hours

I thought that the combination size tags (US and metric sizes) didn’t come around until later. Where did you get your 1971 date?
