Home early tonight and enjoying an evening watching wildlife and boats on the lake. Sport’n a Stetson Whippet in pine green. I have seen this model in pine green and blue grass.

This one, I think I remember, was a blend of beaver and mink, or chinchilla, or something. It is softer than pure beaver.

I took a Biltmore hemp with a stained ribbon and floppy straw and tried to bring it back to life. I carefully took off the ribbon and unsuccessfully tried to wash it. I then washed the entire hat in soap and water, stretched it over a plastic block and dried it in the sun. I then applied a coat of shellac diluted with alcohol, let it dry in the sun again, then bashed it and put on a pug (albeit backwards). I might get another season out out of it.

Old Stetson OR converted to wanderer type ribbon. Was my driving hat today due to high wind and heat. Its funny how this 2 3/4" brim looks smaller than other 2 3/4" hats.
