I'll put this information in my notes. Thanks good sir!Mike, Super! This hat was made by P. & C. Habig Wien so Austrian.
The hardest part is just paring it down to 31! I'm going to have to get real selective over the next couple of weeks. Thanks Mike, the inside does make a complete picture indeed.
Hope you’re enjoying your parade as much as I am. Looks like a good deal of effort.
Day 9 of 31 Hat Parade: Since it was 85 degrees here in the Pacific Northwest today, I wore a custom Lt. Blue and Cuenca weave Straw from Mike Miller of Northwest Hats. I commissioned this bespoke hat to pay homage to the popular style of duplex, half felt, half straw, of the 1930s. To find an original one from this decade is a holy grail! The ribbon treatment is special, I had Mike craft a special "Sharks Gill". He went all out on this one, and now it has become one of his standard offerings. This straw gets a lot of wear in the spring and fall.

Great hat. I recognize Mr what’s-his-name from old electronics stuff. Though I obviously can’t recall his name. Are you in electronics? Cool whatever the case.
Very nice hat. They knew how to make them in Norwalk back then.
Excellent, Randy. That ribbon colour just works so well.VS Milan with antique copper ribbon.

Neat little hat, Joe. I think I'd prefer it brim up though.
Thank you, Steve. It's the only one I have left. They are too few and far between unfortunately.Stefan, Thank you! The Wool Felt is on the heavier side.
Happy to see a Lembert in German Series! They made a great antilope finish! Also rare to see one in black.
Easy to see why it's a favourite, Steve. That is one magnificent hat. And a killer liner as well. This week I will feature the C. G. Wilke Guben, Germany Hat Factory. Founded by Carl Gottlob Wilke in 1822 Guben, Germany. He invented the weather-proof wool hat and was a major contributor in the mechanization of hat making. C. G. Wilke manufactured both Wool and Fur (including Velour) Soft and Stiff Felt Hats. C. G. Wilke Factory was severely damaged during WWII. Guben was the largest hat making center in Germany up to WWII but was heavily damaged during the war. What remained of the Guben Hat Industry infrastructure after WWII was nationalized as VEB United Hutwerke Guben (Guben was located in the GDR).
C. G. Wilke Velour, Open Crown 6 inches, Brim 2 1/2 inches, Non-reed Sweatband, 148 grams, possibly later 1920s. This hat is in very good condition with all original parts. The Velour felt and finish are very high quality. The Form is fantastic and looks great Brim Up or Brim Down. Also a unique light green-blue silk liner with black and white piping. This is one of my favorites.
C. G. Wilke Guben Hat Factory, Ink Blotter, 14 cm X 7 cm / 4.5 inches X 2.75 inches, possibly early 1910s.
It's been a while since we've seen that one, Mike. I dare say I missed it!Day 9 of 31 Hat Parade: Since it was 85 degrees here in the Pacific Northwest today, I wore a custom Lt. Fantastic hat, and love that mask.VS Dualist on the Masked Corona Crawl today. The wheat Milan crown, and felt brim hold up much better in this climate than my Panamas. Our stay at home order and curfew were canceled, and things are opening up a little. Plenty of people out on the coastal trail today, but no one in the water as we had a bit of a cold snap, and it was pretty windy and choppy.

Art Fawcett will be missed in our community for sure, but he deserves a restful retirement. This Dualist is super sweet Jonesy. The light colors are such a great choice. I always loved his name for this type of duplex.VS Dualist on the Masked Corona Crawl today. The wheat Milan crown, and felt brim hold up much better in this climate than my Panamas. This is another fantastic, interesting hat Stefan. l love the liner logo. Princeton University is in New Jersey, but the name is very "Boston". It is strange that this American "brand" would have Mayser make their hats as a jobber. Is it 1950s?This completes week two of the German week and still so many hats to go!
Princeton hat co. Despite the name a German made hat. Like the Mayser Eres-Kent also named "Sparta".

Always love the Cury Fabio. But I absolutely am going nuts over that fabric on your suit jacket!! Love - Love - Love it.
I have been lusting after a Lo Blue soft cap for some time now. Love the material on this cap. How long does it take to get them from down under? Interesting comparison of the tones of gray. I wonder how much is dye lots versus age/patina? Stay warm my friend. I'll be trying to stay cool, it will be in the high 80s again here in Oregon.Morning shenanigans with the dog and subsequent walk had me staying warm in a cap. The Well Dressed Head cap worked swell in the 38'f (3'c) weather.
Cooling down and strolling outside sipping some Brazilian medium roasted Caribou Coffee. I am wearing a Stetson Royal DeLuxe Open Road.
I tossed yesterdays gray OR with today's hat in the bushes for a comparison pics. The Royal DeLuxe is a gray felt that shows a light blue in indirect light. Both are light gray. I hope you enjoy.
Cheers this cool morning from Minnesota. Be safe, be strong and see you on the street soon, Eric -
Thanks Brent. I'm a fan of mushroom hunting for sure. The lighter was a trail find from a hunt or two ago. Non working and only there for scale. I'm going to have a few of the morels for breakfast in a few minutes. Oh boy.Looks good, Michael. It’s satisfying when you can gather or grow your own food. Not sure about the lighter...I wouldn’t try smoking them if I were you.
Love the ribbon treatment on the Princeton. Great looking hat. This completes week two of the German week and still so many hats to go!

Thanks Fabio. The jacket is Swedish army and dated 1942. Whether that is the pattern date or the production date I don't know.Great hat! I loved the jacket too!
Great look, Fabio. Those are some maximum lapels there.
