This week I will feature J. Hückel´s Söhne Soft Felt Hats. J. Hückel´s Söhne was nationalized as Tonak after 1945.

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Alpha" "Seal Velour", French Point Size 5, Brim 2 1/4 inches, Crown Open 6 inches possibly mid 1930s. The gray "Alpha" "Seal Velour" is fantastic and easily dry creases. Really like the contrasting blue Zig-Zag stitching on the silk liner.

J. Hückel´s Söhne, Display Cards, 10 cm x 4 cm, possibly mid to later 1920s.

Linen Newsboy for the Corona Crawl down the hill today just before sunset. Turned South into town for only the second time in many weeks, and was struck by how quiet things are. I didn't need the denim face mask because I ran into very few people.

Today...wishing health to all the Lounge family. I find it difficult to get hat happy much of the time during such upheaval we all are dealing with not knowing what tomorrow brings.
But today...it brought me to this Stetson Beaver 50 7X. A pretty nice hat and not all that often seen in my experience.
I’ve enjoyed the parade of fine hats and commentary of late and thank all of you.

Very impressive Homburg Randall. I especially like the patina on the innards of this one, such character! Perfect lines. Everyone needs a large and in charge black Homburg!

Good morning. Early morning dog soiree was taken wearing my Bailey Western inspired cord ribboned hat. Glorious hat that is showing it's age.

This morning during my efforts, the leather sweat at the rear separated. My gentle wearing was accelerated the sweats demise. I will look at some repairs in the next few days. I have the original advertising materials that was boxed with the hat. At the same time of repairs I will save them in protective sleeves as they too are beginning to crumble. Can you imagine that after 70+ years?

Morning walk found me in my neighborhood with construction vehicles arriving. I turned my vest inside out to utilize the reflective material on the inside. Getting the dog home I reversed my vest and changed hats then headed back out for an brisk walk and picked up a gray Stetson Royal De Luxe Open Road. This is becoming all to easy to pick-up off the hat tree the past few months. Thin ribbon goodness!

I'm staying hunkered down in Casa Lockdown today doing some more yard chores. Dressing up for a trip out into the 'Rona Wasteland too a lot out of me yesterday. Didn't make it to Walmart yesterday, I was too under dressed not wearing a tie and a more formal Homburg, I would have felt out of place . For working around the yard I will wear my Dobbs Milan early 1960s straw. The Hat Police be damned! I'm breaking all the rules.

Bowen; I agree in that it takes some effort to see opportunity. For me the rainy, dreary past couple of days have been hard also. I had saved some podcasts from a couple of inspiring coaches and technicians for these moments. It pulled me into the moment. Serious aside, hats are a terrific happy side to the day. Wishing more "Moments" for you and your family.

Scored TP today at Costco. We are not hoarding, we just were getting low. Double breasted jacket and a 1950s Hückel Special fedora. Forgive me for not wearing a tie, its not like I had to dress up to go to Walmart ya know. Wearing a new pair of Italian Massimo Emporio cap toe oxfords that I rescued from Ebay.

Sir; You are a good influence for me. Tomorrow when I need to risk my life and do some required shopping I am dressing for downtown. Well played! Lovely shoes and hat.

I do not see anything out of place. You brushed your teeth, combed your hair and showered. Those are steps that I often see missed at our local Walmart. Your costume is grand sir.

This hat is a real head turner with is very cool and unique ribbon treatment. It the ribbon needs a name... how about the Corona?

Adam "Corona" is dynamite. You have some unique ribboned hats on your hat rack. This wide brimmed on really makes my eye focus on the ribbon. IMO, the bigger brim is like the prairie leading up to the mountains. The expanse pulls my eyes to the mountains (ribbons).

30 days is done! Bummer. Now for creating themes of wearing. Themes have been going on of late. Thanks for your intriguing 30 days of showcasing your hatted lifestyle.

That is an elegant crown crease. It really adds to the hat.

This morning it reminds of the terrific thread "Teardrop Workshop." https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/teardrop-workshop.38228/

I remember many years ago reading with interest and learning how to make the perfect crease. "Teardrop", "Arkansas crease," or whatever name they are very cool. I never really mastered the details. Perhaps that would make a good project.

FYI: The thread Diamond Authority is another excellent blast from the past. https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/the-diamond-authority.22275/ . Good to know my little gray cells have not deteriorated quickly over the pandemic.
