Great looking Portis Michael.. love the ribbon
Thanks Joe. It is a dandy ribbon design.

I like it better every time I see it, Michael.
Thanks Stefan. It's rapidly moved up into my top 4 or 5.

After French week closed it is onward to their neighbours: Germany! This may take quite a few weeks, but who cares?
We'll start off with this one (just because it sat on top).

Is that a bit of heathered there Stefan? Looks good.

Got out for a bit of a bike ride this afternoon. The wind was ferocious. I wore this Czech made Basque and it served the purpose well.

30 Days to 30 Hats - Day 27
Adam Hats Mainliner Silverbelly

Adam Hats Mainliner Silverbelly
OR/Stratoliner clone
4 7/8 Crown as bashed
3/8 Ribbon
2 3/8 brim with 1/8 matching brim binding

Adam Mainliner in Sil. Sand... Appears to be Adam Hat’s Open Road/Stratoliner clone. Very moldable felt.. light weight and crisp. Amazing what $9.95 bought you even in the late 60’s. This was my first TAR. I just threw in some side dents for a modified cattleman crease for fun... which it takes well.. diamond it will take and hold with ease. One beautiful hat that is a pleasure to wear

Out at the lake in East Texas this weekend with very sketchy cell service, so trying to catch up. Sorry if I missed anyone

Wore my Olé Panama for chores at the lake:

And if you’re fixing to pick out one of them trucks to drive, I’d go with the red one. :)

Nice Strat, Dave! Glad Brent hepped you into it.
My nephew has one just like it in the same color, same size. A sweet softy!
He had me reshape it some, ‘cause it had gotten wonky with wear and poor storage practices, but it shaped right up. I gave him some tips on proper care and now he’s gone a little overboard with the thing. :)

This week I will feature J. Hückel´s Söhne Soft Felt Hats. J. Hückel´s Söhne was nationalized as Tonak after 1945.

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Superior" possibly mid to later 1930s. The felt is extremely dense with a very smooth finish. Due to the stiffness of the felt most likely worn without side dents. J. Hückel´s Söhne were probably the first to introduce Hanging Cords at the rear of the sweatband. The Hanging Cords were only installed on Soft Felt Hats. J. Hückel´s Söhne often coordinated Felt, Liner and Sweatband colors. The condition of this hat is NOS.
