I ate a piece of spinach quiche outside . My Stetson Fifteen did not get any food spots on it!

I went out for an afternoon walk to check out what the neighborhood's "permanent residents" are up to. No humans were seen.

Be safe, be strong and see you on the streets soon, Eric -

View attachment 223104 Toying around with a late 60s western Stetson . As you can see I melded an old Gus crease with the new fandango Square brim crease; that I personally, don’t care for. I’ll let you all know how it’s received with the eBay cowboys. Who knows, maybe they’ll dig it!
I used to mess with cowboy hats long ago, and like Brent said-@deadlyhandsome -a while back on western hat shaping: “they’re fun to play with.” View attachment 223105
I may just have to branch out and play with a one of those. As you said "Cowboy Up".

Greetings All:
Today....i only have worn this hat twice. Once on the day my grand daughter was born and for her second birthday. It’s one of two modern hats i’ve bought new, the other being a Carlos Santana stingy.
But...a white hat infusion around here seemed needed so here’s a Borsalino sugar white for the day.
Hope all are well and safe.
Bowen

I always enjoy Spring and watching all the Japanese Maples, Azaleas, Gardenias and Hydrangeas start to bloom. This year is even more special to relax with nature and forget all the stuff going on. I walk around every morning before work and every afternoon after getting home and check out how much everything has changed in just one day:

Stetson 3X OR for Thin Ribbon Thursday......

While not being able to go teach at my school, my outer Englishman look has been put on hold and my inner Cowboy is taking over.
This is the fourth of my newly acquired hats from Randall.
He reshaped this Resistol Western but definitely kept the western look. I love the way the front of the brim comes to a curved peak. Randall also created a new ribbon and bow for this one.
Great job, Randall. Thanks for the deal, my friend View attachment 222870 View attachment 222881 View attachment 222872 View attachment 222874 View attachment 222877

I was thinking of buying a really nice bowler, in a rare size 7 1-2 from @Randall Renshaw, but just couldn't see wearing it with board shorts at the beach. He was nice enough to point me in the direction of this Portis on The Bay which I am very happy with. It says that it is imported felt and a beaver blend. Not sure what I have but it was sold as late 50s, early 60s.The felt is quite soft and dense. I added just a bit of steam to crease it but it takes a shape pretty easily. The wind trolly is a nice touch, although it would not hold up to the brisk trade winds that are blowing this week.
I took it out for a walk on the coastal trail near my place, and things were pretty quiet. The tourists are mostly gone, and even the locals are starting to heed the stay at home order.
Peace,
David

Knocked off working from home a little early to work in the yard and flower beds since it was a beautiful day. Wearing the beater Dutch Connection Windsor that was so kindly included as a bonus with a Borsalino I bought from @steur.

Nothing lifts the spirits like the smell of Hagwood’s Famous Planting Mix, LOL. Sweet smelling compost and mulched pine....
