Ive worn fedoras most of life, but this homburg is my first serious vintage hat that started the ball rolling for me eleven years ago.
Recently, I’ve accumulated a passle of nice, pristine lids. This burg still stands as the mintiest hat I own.

Today....about a week ago Jim, @Frunobulax made the point that we don’t often see Resistol fedoras much. Sadly true because Resistol made fedoras as well as anybody. Imho
Here’s an unknown jobber 3x beaver with 2.5” brim and as nice a self-edge as anyone’s. Inner tag reveals a Resistol of rather distinctive character.
Got some help with brushing from Lo Lo.

I have the same issue with my St. Regis, it has been hard to crack. I have steamed the crap out of it and the crown won't budge, lol....

Heavy lies the crown....

That’s what I was hoping for, but so far the hat ain’t workin’!

What a fantastic color Bowen! I love that hat. Hey, last week I pulled over and had my daughter take that street sign picture. Today we we’re driving through the DMZ (New Rochelle) on the way to the pool and she not only spotted this but took another pic and texted it to me. She says ‘got another one for your friend’. So here’s another.

So I’ve got the kid home with me for a few weeks. Doing her schoolwork via email and FaceTime. Her school is in the middle of the quarantine zone or whatever the heck they’re calling it. Luckily her swim team practice facility is outside the zone, and I was able to get a good walk in today. Brought the black cherry VS with me. Excellent day for it. Cool enough to not get too sweaty. Warm enough to be comfortable. Hope everyone is staying safe in this Steven King novel we’re all of a sudden living in.
