Molto bello Alan, even if I do not like so much white hat, even if today I wore one
The Italians contradictions

<smile> - Thank you Daniele...I like the idea of a while hat more than I find a good occasion to wear one.

Alan, Thank you! I wasn't sure the three hats would ever arrive. The seller was not in good health and very erratic but some how the hats made it. I remember your Borsalino - Black Sheep custom project. As usual Bob did fantastic work. It looks like a pre WWII Borsalino! Super!

Thanks Steve. The project was a prototype for Garrett - I don't think he would mind me sharing the final version. The prototype I purchased from him does have a pre-war look, though the hat that was used is a later Borsalino - 1960s-1970s, I would guess.

Echter Borsalino "Bismuto" "Sanboca" date stamped May 17, 1929. The Berlin store Max Eckard that sold the hat did not survive WWII. This hat is in mint condition and one of three Echter Borsalinos from my April 2015 find.

The carton the hat was in is from a Berlin hat store Philipp Neubauer Berlin that survived WWII but not the locations listed.

Cork spacers that were in the hats. I failed to note which hats they were associated with.

Wow, 1929, and that kind of condition. And super history.

Speechless! That just exudes what I look for in a vintage hat.

My wife turns seventy next Tuesday. Actually, she's eighteen but 52 years have got in the way. When I asked if there was anything she wanted she said: "Yes, you can get me a Baileys."
Now we have rocked our socks off at The Crazy Horse Saloon in Nashville, but somehow I just don't see her wearing a Bailey hat, there again I thought that an XBox was an old carton folded up, as in an ex-box. Do you think that she might mean this?

Nice colours and the gills are special. Very cool hat, Marcel.

Pretty Portis, Michael. Killing it again.

Fabulous, Eric.

That is a commanding hat, Héctor. Quite the crown on that one.

I'll share the prize with you, Steve:)
Thanks Stefan. I got a few more photos of the Portis yesterday after the sun came out.

Wow. What a fine group of hats. That Bronzo is especially exquisite.

Thanks,
