Jeez, go away for a few days and everybody pulls out all the stops. Wonderful hats the last few days, guys. Here are a few of mine I did manage to take pics of this week.

I'm quite the opposite Dman as my rack is dominated by the thinnies. I think those look great on you as well as your others.
Thank you,Sir.Also thanks to all you gentlemen that liked and commented on my hats in the last few days.Bamaboots,I'll probably never have as many thinnies as you.I'm pretty sure that I will be hunting for then now.

Torrential rains interspersed with splendid sunny moments
GhiaccioB 1 R.jpg

This morning a walk in the hills to see one of the best olive groves in the area, led by a large family of farmers
GhiaccioB 2R.jpg
It is one of the last in Northern Italy, then the olive tree ceases to grow, the hill becomes wood
GhiaccioB 4 R.jpg
The photos are sorted according to the route
GhiaccioB 5 R.jpg

Borsalino Qualità Superiore size is 6 1/2 or 60 cm. 7 1/2 US
GhiaccioB 8 R.jpg
Felt color is "Ghiaccio" is finished with short hair. It was made 42 years ago (1977)
GhiaccioB 9 R.jpg

Here, on the sides of the ancient road that leads to the Alps, you can see the splendid olive trees that this year have remained completely unsuccessful, so much so that the mills have remained closed.
Thanks for the likes and congratulations to all of you for your hats
Buon Sabato a tutti!

Great lookin’ lids, all, Stefan! My favorite is the Knox, but I’m like Randy. How do you choose from so many? Do you use a lottery system? [emoji15]

Nice hat, Daniele!! Too bad about the olives this year. I drop ‘em one after another like a pill poppin’ druggie headed to the ‘lectric chair!
The US air national guard sent me to their Aviano base for two weeks back in ‘86. Beautiful country! I loaded up on locally made hard salami while I was there. Pairs well with vino and olives! [emoji4]

So, my hat for this evening is the first acquisition from eBay in a looooong time! Got it today. I haven’t bought a hat in over nine years. Well, this one fedora makes up for my lid lapse! Far as I’m concerned, It’s the super model of toppers!
I’ll be posting it on the new eBay hats thread as well and will be asking folks for their expert assessment of the year this one was born, so please go there to help me out.
I’m guessing, mid fifties? So happy to have a ribbon with gills!
I had to steam it in a hat stretcher to get the long oval shape it needed to fit my oblong cranium, but otherwise it was perfect! Have a wonderful evening!

All of those are outstanding, Stefan. How do you choose which one to wear?
With difficulty!:D I usually have about ten hats in rotation and I pick one, depending on my clothes, the weather and whatever takes my fancy.
Looking great Stefan.

Best,
Joe

Thanks, Randall. If I'm tired of the hats in the rotation, I venture into the attic. The ones that scream loudest can come for the next rotation (or the ones I can actually get to!).

Nice looking guitar!!

Thanks, Mr. Stott. Do you play?
This guitar was somewhat constructed like a pre-war D-28 Martin, yet with many variations that aid in tonal quality. However, nothing adds great tone better than time.
Guitars begin to sound exponentially awesome somewhere around fifty years old, so mine has to get twice as old before it gets the “gritty” type of voice that makes an aficionado’s ears melt.
Nevertheless, this middle aged box is a killer, already. Can’t wait to hear it twenty five years from now...if I’m still kickin’.
Unfortunately, arthritis is creeping its way into my hands. I won’t always be able to wield this fine axe, so I play it as often as I can while I can!

Yes, I play. My baby is a Froggy Bottom guitar model H-12. But lately I've been playing Nylon string guitars by Cordoba. Nylon strings are easier on my older fingers.

Super nice flat tops! Froggy bottom? Beautiful guitar! Is that its real name?
Resembles a double OO Martin?
To own these three very sweet guitars must mean you also have an affinity for something other than fedoras.
And for two of them to be cutaways you must be capable of venturing up the neck often? Since this thread is about hats, I’ll PM you and talk about your boxes more.

Thanks Randall
You were in Aviano in 1986, my father was there, in the same place, in 1942-3 as a military of the Italian Royal Air Force.
This year the olives have never appeared and these that are born at the limit for the growth of the olive trees are not particularly good to eat. Therefore for salami you should buy some olives from southern Italy, fantastic as an appetizer
Thanks for the tour Daniele... your hat looks fantastic

Best,
Joe
Thanks Joe, Borsalino made excellent hats quite until our days! Even in the contemporary days some are really interesting, so overpriced!

A beautiful Borsalino for a splendid view, Daniele.
Thanks Steve. The Borsalino has an excellent color and the felt is really fine as the finish.
I see that every day you set fire to powders with excellent and often unique hats. Bravo!
