Making the Saturday morning rounds with the LOML in an Az Tex Genovese. It’s cool in Texas. Sure hope it lasts for a good long while.

So cool to have seen one of the country greats. Willie Nelson's "He will never be gone" is a touching tribute to Merle and his music. Great drawing of him, Randall.

Hey, Steve, can’t believe I’ve never heard it, but I finally got some time to listen to the tribute to Merle Haggard by Willie Nelson. Superlative lyrics and tune. Thanks for telling me about it. There’ll never be another Merle, and that’s okay. He was enough Merle for the ages. His youngest son did a super guitar break in the official video. played the licks in his Father’s style.
Listened to the next song cued up from Youtube by Willie and it was just as good called : A horse called Music. Both moving songs about bygone greats. A man we know who was good at shaping hats in the shower: Roy Rogers
Songs with meaning and depth. Something you’re not going to get in most of today’s music.

Wearing the new Stetson 7X Clear Beaver today while tooling around in the garage. Trying to break it in to my head, previous owner must have had a square head, LOL. I warmed up the sweat with the hairdryer and wearing around today. I also put a new bash in it. Decided to go with a more refined one for this hat

You do realize it is illegal to post pics of such a fantastic hat?

It's my Borsalino Colombo tonight as we head to Beirgarten to see our friends band play and enjoy a few German brews.

I figured with it's sort of Bavarian almost tyrolean kinda look it definitely fit the bill.

This hat has a velvety velour finish and a fairly stingy brim at about 1 3/4 and a corded hat band. Definitely one of my favorite hats... Now just need more cooler days to wear it in! (South Florida)

This is in the area where the documentary "Bigfootville" was filmed a few yrs ago, & we learned at the cafe that a big search is again coming once the leaves are off the trees. We found him:

I behaved myself when Jessie James asked about what she should wear with her hat. In my earlier years it would have been out of my mouth before even I saw it coming.

If most of us modeled our hats unclothed it would certainly draw my attention to the hat.

How can people not like black hats if they look like that? Wonderful hat and great pics, Bowen.
