This has been a go-to straw for me since the year Art started turning them out, and it looks it. One of my most well-worn, I really like the cool-casual look.
That is a beauty!

Finally found a good proper hat box for packing away this magnificent Anton Peschel I lucked into a few months ago. Mayserwegener says it’s NOS from the 50s, very high quality, of the finest Austrian velour hats. It certainly reflects all of that. It effortlessly molds to any crease/bash dry. It is an elegant, exceedingly fine velour felt fedora.

I’m not really hip on all the terms that get tossed back and forth here by some on describing felt hat characteristics, quality but I know this. If this hat were a woman her name would be Salma Hayek.

The only thing that could be superior to this fedora would be my MacLachlan 100.

Heat wave finally broke. From high 90s to a nice mid-70s today. And that means I can finally wear my new black Alexander thin ribbon.

I think I saw that one on eBay! Was it there, do I remember right, Jim? I haven't been paying much attention, because I am trying to survive the spanish wilderness.

Ooooohhh and Ahhhhh, Brent! Seriously.
I've seen you wear other Homburgs that look too small for your head, but the proportions with this one are excellent.

Thanks...I think. :)
Many hats don’t scale up when they make them in bigger sizes. A 2 3/8” brim looks fine in a size 7, but not so good on a 7 3/4. I have a brown 7 5/8 Mac Lachlan homburg that I love, but it just isn’t proportioned right.
