My Borsalino brown shades continue

Borsalino Qualità Extra Superiore size is 6 1/2 or 60 cm. for US size is a 7 1/2

Color is "Bronzo" and type is "Faunosca"

The felt is very malleable and soft. It was probably made in the fifties

It remainds me Italian men in the fifties and sixties with this shape of hats and heavy wool coat

Today....it’s a hat that is so difficult to capture the color/contrast and felt texture.
It’s a lovely blue Camel Hair Disney.
I can’t say enough about how interesting this hat is from the one piece corded reed-ribbon to the felted brim edge and the felt...the felt is divine and equals if not rivals my best of bests.
Every time i grab it i get as excited as the day i recieved it.
Yeah, i kinda like it.

That looks like it was hand-painted. Did you do it yourself? Wouldn't be too difficult to reproduce. Using water-colors, they could even be washed away if you don't like the result.

No not me. Someone else put the Picasso on it. It doesn’t seem to be watercolor and it has been wet. Lol

I just love this hat. Everything about it and especially the color. I’ll have to turn out the sweat on mine to see if it’s a Bronzo also. I just call it my Mocha Java and wear it for special times.

Wearing my brand new Texas Hatters Derby. Even though I sort of mostly steamed away the crown dent (that occurred from the shipping box), there are still some small lumps and a visible striation, so they are sending me a return label so they can fix it professionally. I hate to send back this sweet new lid so soon, but I think the custom price tag warrants a perfect finish done the right way, instead of at my own hand.
