I think maybe a little walkabout might be in order today.

Have a fine Monday, unless you already have other plans,
Michael
Magnificent!North wind and a pale sun for a colder day
Borsalino Qualità Suprema, size 6 1/2 or 60 cm., 7 1/2 US
Color is "Dattero" and the type is "Mula" I have not inspected well because I fear the old sweatband could be damaged
This is the lobbia (homburg) with more rounded wide brim
Felt is dense and firm, made probably before the WWII was sold in Padua, not so far from Verona
Buon lunedì a tutti
Thanks for the likes on the Borsalino thin "shark gill" ribbon!
Good to see the homburgs out and about, especially this one. Wonderful!Borsalino nut.
That is indeed some crown on that hat. Still one of your best conversions, Terry. A beaut.Dressing up with my Biltmore Western conversion. This was another small Western that I sized up and converted. It started out as a size 6 3/4 and I blocked it up to a 7 1/4. I also reworked the felt and gave it a smooth 'brushed velour' finish. The crown is very tall and straight with a 2 3/4 snap brim.

This one was converted on a Walnut block that fellow Lounger, 'Rockwater', made for me...
Very nice, Greg. Love that colour.
Both are a treat!Got a little sun on the silvery Wormser while I was walkabout.

That is on another level entirely, Alan. My Borsalino collection is not complete without one of those!
Fantastic in every way!Nice warm sunny day here in Northeast Ohio. It's been windy so my old Maple trees have left me a few sticks to pick up.A Resistol Tycoon conversion I did some time back.
Very nice, Greg. Love that colour.
Thank you steur! As creased, the crown stands at an all around five inches tall. The open crown is a straight sided six inches tall. I converted this one on a Walnut block that fellow Lounger, Rockwater made for me.That is indeed some crown on that hat. Still one of your best conversions, Terry. A beaut.
