Will it self-confirm w/o the ammo hatband, which oddly resembles sun glasses.
Hehehehe...I always wear my sunglasses over any hatband I have on the hats.
So you can't see the ammo hatband in the pics, but this is what it looks like...

Hahahha....
From the mild research I've done, it was a sweatband marketing ploy used by resistol to sell more hats. Supposedly, their leather sweatbands were made so specially that they would mold themselves to the users head shape within 3 wears and be more comfortable than any other hat.

BobHufford was poking fun at "Self-confirming" because it is actually "Self-conforming"

Depending on the caliber of ammo (if you fill the band) & the sunglasses, over time the added weight will cause the brim to droop & become wavy. I learned that after putting a thick leather band with big Alpaca silver conchos around a Stetson Gun Club yrs ago. Just a little bit of weight over time will change the brim.

Oh wow...I didn't suspect that would happen, as stiff as this brim is.
I'll keep that in mind. I don't think I'll be able to keep ammo in it all the time due to the laws here. And if it becomes a problem, it's easily removable. I'll just swap back to a full paracord hatband.
