Today's snow and strong winds finds me in a very odd situation of having the day off. Crazy weather of late. Around noon I was out working in a vtg. Stetson Stratoliner. Love the country/town appeal of this vintage hat. The vintage hat does not shirk from outside chores.

Just a bit ago I was wearing a vtg. Mallory for again some snow removal. I do really love the ribbon treatment on this fedora. We have been working hard. The hats and jackets are drying in our wet room and will be ready for more adventures by early evening.

I have removed snow 3 times so far. I just finished removing and filling the feeders. It takes a couple of the 5 gallon buckets to fill the bird feeders and then I need to tote out the sunflower seeds. Muck boots and snowshoes are needed for the bird feeder chores. Glorious!

Be safe all. Best wishes, Eric -

Geo. Carter & Sons, London, English Velour.
Not usually my cup of tea but if it had more brim i’d wear the hell out of it!
Be well. Bowen
Wow! That is one hell of a hat, Bowen. It suits you well. Wear the heck out of it. You deserve each other.

Steve, I have a special place in my heart for Velour and long hairs. It's not often I see this color in velour. You have a great ability of bringing forward some of Germany's best. Great find. Thanks for sharing.

J. Hückel ´s Söhne "Flexible" "Seal Velour" possibly later 1930s. Fantastic Velour!

Daniele, I really like this hat. Grey goes with everything, and the long hair really adds distinction. I could definitely see myself wearing such a hat. Congratulations on the great find.

For a couple of days it seems to be in spring, but as a popular proverb says: February, little February you're short and cursed. In my dialect it has rhyme, but it means that it deludes with almost pleasant days and then plunges into the absolute winter

Today beautiful day for a Borsalino Qualità Extra Superiore size 6 1/2 or 60 cm. 7 1/2 US

Color: "M. Stagno" with a heather felt of extreme softness and malleability. Like all the "Misto"it is predominantly white, gray and black.

To think that when I bought it, along with many others, was one of the least considered, it is now one of my favorite among the "Misto"

Have a nice day
Thanks for the likes on the "M. Hutter"

Dennis, Thanks! Same here regarding Velours. The Velour color and finish of this hat are special. If say so myself. :)

Good luck, Jim!

I'm in line at Les Schwab waiting 2+ hours to get my snow tires put on. I was hoping I could make it through this winter on all season radials but now they're talking about snow for a week.

Cool hat Dav. Soon as i saw the pic i thought of the Cop in the “Stranger Things” series. Nice shape and crease. No head shot??

Kept getting an error on my phone. The hat came with a really crushed, really stiff cattleman's crease and I have been working on it. Wore it in a couple of rain storms and the felt has become much softer.
