For the series of hats with fur that we will hardly see again on the market

Color is "Argento" the felt is beaver

As already said for its brother, same form and type, but felt is "Marron" the beaver felt is an exception in Europe

The finish is excellent for an high-end hat from the past

I am always on the lookout to discover more candidates for the "hairy" box, but it is increasingly difficult to find candidates
Have a nice Monday and my compliments for the huge amount of beautiful hats displayed during the first week of 2019
I've yet to score any kind of long hair. I need a hippie hat.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.

Stopped by a few hat shops today. Ok, 4 hat shops. Nothing super high grade to write home about, except a Montecristi someone picked up and is now reselling for $1500. Super fine weave, it looked like linen instead of straw.

Sandra and I just picked up a couple stingy brim semi calados for us and were ready to check out when I saw this tall glass of water in the corner... it looks like my daughter's Resistol Ambush IIRC.

This is my hat before I had them add a dark navy pug, standing next to Diana, executive secretary/assistant to the VP at Homero Ortega... in a back room stuffed with hats. I dubbed the room cielo, or heaven, but my wife called it the candy store.

That's the Montecristi. It was very NICE!

GREAT to hear Willow is feeling better.

I got out before the rain started and wore my new semi calado. I've never seen this type of pattern or weave before on the ventilated part. But I'll tell you again what I've said before, when a breeze comes up your head feels air conditioned. It's really great in warm weather, and Cuenca has been unseasonably warm lately. I got a little sunburn on my arms yesterday on the open air bus tour.

C. G. Wilke Hutfabrik Velour possibly 1920s maybe earlier.

I assume there was a liner at one time.

Notice a Hare / Rabbit is part of the sweatband logo. C. G. Wilke (Guben, Germany established 1822) was originally just a Wool Hat Factory but added a Fur Felt factory in the later 1800s.

As I've said before, that is one of my favorites of yours, Michael.

Thanks Max, it's one of my favorites. Your Wormser today is looking very good.

It was rainy this morning when I had to visit the eye doctor, so it was the Backhouse waxed cotton hat and Woolrich rain slicker. Nicer this afternoon, so I spent it under this Champ
