What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Wearing my Hufvud today. I like everything about this hat except the felt. I wanted a green one, so I had to order the rabbit and hare. It is a little rough to the touch and the brim will absolutely not obey, even with steam.

I didn't know beaver was available in other colors in Hufvud. Oh, well.

Stetsonian today, with temps in the teens.

That cold does look rather biting Jay. Love the Stetsonian, great brim work.

Forgot to post this yesterday. Light sage Knox Foxhound for running errands. Really like this color felt.

That color is just fantastic Bill! So pristine.

Giving the Glenburnie a little more head time on TAR Tuesday.

Really an interesting hat. That brand does not come up in a quick Google search, I'll have to check Newspapers.com. I wonder what city? Love the OR like lines.

A suede finish Tom n' Jerry today.

I know there is much interest in leather coats in the classifieds, maybe some will enjoy a picture of this long suede coat that I purchased at the opening of Saks Men's Store in San Francisco many years ago (it has since closed). It was mismarked, I think, at 90% off but still at a cost that caused a hard swallow before deciding to buy it. I've never looked back.

Love that finish. The ribbon has a nice texture to it as well.

Royal Deluxe Stetson went downtown with me today.

It was a bit nippy with chunky white stuff in the offing.

Have a good one,

I like that organic crease on this one.

I really like the brim on this Stetson Brent, it doesn't look modern at all. And that is a compliment to this hat.

The only reference I found to the name was a private school in Maryland. The sweatband was stuffed with newspaper remnants from the Terre Haute area (1954). I haven't been able to come up with anything else.

But it's a nice hat.

Another great one Alan. I've never seen a Tom 'n' Jerry with that liner.

I’m a day late and probably more than a dollar short lately! I went Borsalino twice yesterday, with the Alessandria and the Marque Grand Luxe. Both great hats. Unfortunately, since I really like this Alessandria so much, I am now going to have to keep my eyes open for one without moth bites. It’s not terrible but my OCD is frustrated by them!

This is the younger brother of the Carlton in the classified
293j1o0.jpg

Size is 60 or 7 1/2 and this is a little wide for me, so the 61 or 7 5/8 is a large one for its size
2mfgi9f.jpg

It was made at least seventy years ago by J&B one of the most high level quality French producers

The felt color "Auburn" is a really interesting deep brown, see pictures with the sun to have the right color shade
o8gb3p.jpg

The felt is an excellent example of malleability, The finish is of first quality

So you have the Carlton as it is on a head :)
Thanks for the likes of yesterday Borsalino!
