If you start making a profit on the ones you have, you will be able to buy the tools, Terry.
I am first in line.

I don't have that many hats to really make a difference for that yet. Some health related issues have kept me out of work for a while and I'm looking at back surgery in the near future, so says my neurosurgeon. My only income now is a meager social security check and a little long term disability insurance money I get from my job. Finances here at home have been pretty rough. Even if I sold what I had, it wouldn't help at this point. But, I do hope to be able to start doing something sooner or later and I've got you penciled in for a hat as soon as I can get a breakthrough here on the home front! :)

I do have this custom beaver hat I may be interested in trading off for another hat that I would like. It's my only custom by Mike Miller of North West. It's all beaver felt in Pecan. It has a taller straight crown with a 2 3/4 snap brim. I don't wear it because I don't like the color. Although, Pecan seems to be very popular with a lot of Loungers, it just isn't my personal preference.

Terry I don't know the nature of your problem but don't do it. Been there, done that with a neurosurgeon also. Odds for a successful surgery are very low. PM me if you want to talk about your specifics.
I'll do that, buddy. My sister recently had back surgery and she's had nothing but problems afterwards. I'm trying to put it off for as long as I can and have opted for pain management in the meantime.

The wife surprised me with tickets to the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville OR this morning. Apparently, today is National Museum Day. There was a promotion online to download free tickets to participating museums all around the country. One of the most expensive was the Air Museum so that was the best deal (gotta love her finding a "deal"), so road trip! Since I will be in the presence of the Hughes Flying Boat (never call it the "Spruce Goose", Howard hated that name), I researched the hat that he wore in the promotional photos. It looks like a Whippet, wide brim binding and a substantial ribbon. So my hat choice today is my Granite Whippet Clone by Mike Miller. I'll be in @Tukwila country but probably won't be able to meet up. Should be a fun day.

enjoy the museum! I believe there is a John Penman replica of the Hughes hat in the Spruce Goose.

Let me know if you want to meet for lunch, Mike! we could hit Mazatlan again or someplace else.

Your '42 Rose Bowl hat would work well, too, for a trip to the Aviation Museum.... John Penman makes a Hughes fedora and presented one to the museum. I wonder if it's on display there...
