A fancy ribboned fedora this my choice this morning. This 50's model, Champ Featherweight, in light fawn is decked with a pleated ribbon.

Let me help you out. I started a list of acronyms.

· BGCD = Bluegrass Campdraft
· BGGCD = Bluegrass Green Campdraft
· CB = Clear Beaver (Stetson)
· CBCD = Cedar Brown Camp Draft
· CBOR = Clear Beaver Open Road
· CRM = Cane Rod Maker = Alley Kat Hats = Tim Mahovich
· LD = Last Drop (Stetson Last Drop of Water)
· MC = Montecristi
· NOS = New Old Stock
· OR = Open Road
· PHD = Panama Hats Direct
· SBCD = Silverbelly Campdraft
· SCB = Stetson Clear Beaver
· SLS = Stephen L. Stetson
· TFCD = Taupe Fawn Campdraft
Great post, Bill.
I think Jethro Tull wrote a song about you.
It starts out, "Well the dawn is breaking. Heard him ringing on my bell..."

Been busy with some other stuff, gents, but I've seen the usual superb hats posted here. A joy to see! These were mine the last few days.

Wait a minute!
That would be the Huckel Derby, I recon, but I thought Derby was an American verbal take on a Bowler. And that is a soft Bowler, Stefan.

Nope. I'm still using my homemade contraption that we lovingly refer to as the wheel of pain.
Is there not enough demand to reverse engineer a classic conformator, then build it with modern tooling, materials and techniques?.
The patent expired a long time ago.
As a relatively new member of the hat community, this confuses me.

Today....i call this the Tiny Turf Club. Unlined, unreeded foil tagged and with a 2 1/4” petite under-welted brim. It’s brother’s brims go 2 7/8”, bigger but not older.
A gift hat from a generous friend in Mexico. Thanks again Max!
Be well. Bowen

That is some gorgeous leather, Bowen. Felt too, but I got caught in the rain in my Selco and am mourning the toll it took on the old, already fragile sweat and. I have leather lust.

Thank you H&R. It’s a treat to find an old Stetson with that good old leather. The bulletproof NO.1s and BREs come to mind as well.
Sweatband mourning is all to common here. We all suffer with you!
Guess you’re gonna have to cut another strip from that couch. Bad Bowen!!

Another beauty, Bowen. Really like the green ribbon contrast. I can see why Max sent it your way. It's a hat just made for you, B.

My best old leather is in an early campaign hat, maybe 20s, more likely 30s. Stetson square 4"×4". I think it might be a blocked BossRE.
Where can you wear a campaign hat though?
